So sorry. What a terrible disaster. The pictures on the TV are so awful. It looked like the entire little town is burning. Prayers are being sent.
I was doing a map search for the cities you two live in. I know Jane is in Marlin which is, like I said around 45 miles south and east of the city of West. But now I am guessing that your username isn't from the town you live in like Jane's is, because there is a Mart just 34 miles east of West. Anyway glad the two of you are out of harms way. The number of deaths confirmed has been dropped way down, too many people reporting to too many other people and then the numbers got added together to make a wrong total.
I live about an hour and a half southeast of Jane so we are okay. I think I heard the explosion though. It wasn't raining here but I heard a clap of thunder and thought that storm must be pretty far away. But, I didn't hear more of it. But, I wasn't listening for it either and I came inside and had the door shut. dooley
They are all in my prayers for safety,healing and comfort as they are going to be dealing with the aftermath for quit some time. It is really strange that it was at a fertilizer plant where the same fertilizer can be used to make bombs.
