Those are pretty. I have peonies, pink phlox, bee balm, larkspur planted in the bed my Astilbe is in. Plus there are wild violets, 1 Dame's rocket and some weeds there.

I have not gotten very far with my weeding this spring, especially since we are still cleaning up debris from the January ice storm and some other trees that had to come down this winter, and DS is working on some house repairs also... I do have a marker where I planted them so I do not pull them by accident.

You plants sound lovely and you've got loads of time for weeding...we lined and gravelled ours to cut the work out but you still get the odd weed forcing through.
Sounds like you've still got a lot on from the storm alone so try not to worry, well how you've marked yours I don't have to because it's next to my yellow plants that comes out in small daisy flowers I can never remember the name it does my head in

I just used a spike from an old solar light to mark where I planted them. ... today I mowed about 1/2 of my yard which is very large -- 3 acres?-- and we will be blessed with rain in a few hours.

I am sorry to hear that such a shame, well the pink one in the pot here was removed once it took off and was placed by the purple one as that's the only shade here :(

I would because I actually thought i'd lost mine until my hubby clocked the very thin roots starting through the gravel but it's learnt me a lesson they only like total shade for growing.
