My wintering is pretty easy. Make sure there's a big enough spot to set up the old camping tent. Once the plants are inside... they can be zipped up tight and turn on the light to keep them from freezing... and when there are nicer days... I can just unzip the screens and let them get some sun. Freeze comes again... just zip 'em up tight.
Finished up today. Got the hoses put away and the outside water turned off. Tomorrow I tackle getting the tractor tuned up and the snowblower put on.
Mine will all take care of them self as I'm leaving for Montana the 17 th of Nov.What dies die what doesn't don't.If I put them in the greenhouse they will die from no water soooooo.
Got the snowblower on the tractor and a new toy! Last Sunday when we were out to breakfast we had walked through Lozes, just killing time and looking around. They had a walk behind snow blower but instead of tires it had tracks on it like a bulldozer. They had it priced for $1000. Today I called them and they had the one display model left, so I told them to put my name on it. We went in to get it and I found out I could get a veterans discount of 10% so I got it. I have a 4 ft. grade at the house end of my driveway and tires have problems getting up it in the snow. This has electric start and heated hand grips too! Woooo Hoooo!
That sounds great Capt.You will sure enjoy useing that this winter.You will enjoy that hand warmer for sure.
