I haven't been able to visit our forums regularly (as I'm still not free from some stuff). But just a few minutes ago, when I saw this thread, I said to myself, no, it can't be... Didn't even want to open this thread at first, just didn't want to know the details... The subject line alone seemed enough... So I did nothing but remain seated in front of the PC... Until, out of respect for our captain, I decided to read every post made here...

    Really sorry.

We have lost a very valuable member. :(

Thank you for sharing. I have often thought of him since his post of ill health. Peace.

I don't get here often either. He will be missed. I have always liked him, he seemed very kind to everyone. God bless his family, and prayers for them.

And God bless ALL of my friends here at GS.

Oh my. That is sad news. I also was wondering why we had not heard from him. He will be missed greatly as many of you have said. I loved his sense of humor. I pray that his family is dong ok without him. It is never easy.

What sad news. Capt. Kirk will be sorely missed. I hoped he was just too busy to pop in and see us. Rest in peace.

This is the first post I saw after being away for awhile :( I am saddened to read such bad news. My prayers go out to his family. I know he will be missed. I will definitely cherish my GIANT hollyhocks that he sent me that one summer.:flower:
