We woke up to 3, count them THREE, inches of snow. And not a snow plow to be seen except for ours, but that doesn't clean the roads. We were supposed to have snow yesterday afternoon, but that never materialized and overnight we were hammered.
I feel like crying to Carolyn. I moved south to get away from this stuff. Guess I didn't move far enough.
We had a few snow squalls pass through yesterday, but not much accumulation. This morning we have wind chills in the -20's ... NOT normal for this time of year. Weather man assures me this is the last frigid morning. We think we have it bad, but have you seen the forecast for eastern Canada today? They are expecting a noreaster, bringing with it 120km winds, 50-70cm of snow and a storm surge warning!
I went out and snapped a couple shots for you all to drool over...uh huh! snow fog ( photo / image / picture from carolyn's Garden ) My little snow covered hemlock ( photo / image / picture from carolyn's Garden )
Yes, here in NB it is stirring up quite a storm. Nothing is opened today. Airports, ferrys, most modes of transportation shut down also.At the moment I can't see out of my patio door because of blowing snow! Oh well, I am potting up strawberry seedlings today in hopes that planting season will eventually come.
Thank God we didn't get to much bad weather lately. Just yesterday it snowed about 8" about 50 miles north east of us. We are suppose to get up to 50 degrees this weekend. I wind won't hold my breath.
