I agree. I am looking forward to being able to make salads from the spinch that will be groing there.

I am thinking about groing some basil once I am done starting all the seeds I want to start inside.

I figure I will be able to move the broccoli outside before the last frost, then I can start my tomatoes for the year.

I know I am posting a lot of photos, but it is exciting to watch my plants sprout. Got some new ones last night.

Seems like only 2 of the 6 spinach seeds I planted are going to grow. The seeds are kind of old. I bought them for last season. I stored the ones I didn't use last year and planted them in this growbox. 2 came up and seems to be growing strong.

I'm going to hold out for a couple more weeks and hopefully the other seeds will decide to show themselves. If not, I may plant something else.

Wheeeee! I just found a great new way to post YouTube videos on the sidebar of my weblog. Now I can have all kinds of new gardening videos posted there. It brings up a cool viewer on the page as well when you click on them to view them.

Sorry. I'm just excited. had to share. I'll have some new photos soon.

The recognizable spinach leaves are growing like crazy. This is going to be awesome. I look forward to make a salad or two.

Does anyone know the best way to cut the leaves off the plant to encourage more growth?

My Broccoli has its main leaves. They are streching towards the window striving to get more sun. They will be so happy when I can move them outside into full sun.

Some of the leaves has been wilting. I don't know if this is normal or if I have been wattering them too much or not enough. Do you all have any suggestions. I clipped the wilted leaves off the plant. I figure that in of itself will make the plants grow more vigerously.

Looks like we will be having a fence and a deck installed in the next couple of months. This should be fun and will give me a lot more yard that I can play with in gardening.

By the sound and look of things you're well on your way. Good luck with those little babies. They look so tiny and fragile right now, don't they? :D

They do look fragile. It is hard to believe that I will have a bowl full of Spinach from those plants in a few more weeks.
