Mind you, I also prefer pruning my daughter's roses in spring when I can see where the new growth is and how to prune the dead branches away.

 

The hibiscus flowers are both big and such a vibrant color. Gorgeous!!

 

We prune our bush, florabunda and shrub roses over here in the spring so they don't get too tall. It's different for the climbers and ramblers.
