Royal Poinciana tree bloomed this year.

    Jan, they grow in N.O. I am not too far north , I wonder if they would overwinter here. Wow, I just thought of something. Do you know Dan Gill, have you ever seen his home. He is the only man that I know of I would leave my husband for.( just kidding Richard)

    This tree still amazes me. It's only a few months and it bloomed again and grew a lot.

    those trees are so cool to look at! 8) does it give good shade? does it's branches sturdy? i'm afraid it would break when typhoon comes.. would love to have some on my garden! :D

    Thank you I like it so much I'm going to get another for the yard. Not sure were to put it. The best time of day for shade is late afternoon (it's known to be like an umbrella tree). I'm going to get a bench to put under it. The branches were sturdy until the first hurricane broke some nice branches (because it was a newbie). 2 years later there very sturdy now . It takes a few years for pods to grow. When I get some you are welcome to them so you can have a nice tree.
