Grumpy is a good sign--it's the first indication of recovery! We'll still keep your sister in our thoughts and prayers, even if she is a bit testy !
She was in the hospital for a week and the gave her IV fluids to rehydrate her kidneys. It worked some but wasn't going very fast. They sent her home to keep drinking lots of water. They still can't do a ct scan with the dye. They did a biopsy of the mass they found on her kidney but haven't heard about it. She went to the doctor this week but still no sure diagnosis. She had a slight elevated temperature, but no one seems to be sure what's going on with her kidneys. She says there are too many doctors and each has their own opinions and they keep contradicting each other. Meanwhile, nothing is being done about the nodules on her thyroid which is what started the whole thing. She was having pre-surgery lab work when the kidney problem showed up. This is probably more than she wanted me to say but that's how much I know. dooley
I hope those doctors will agree on something so they can start treating your sister for what really ails her. Good thoughts and healing vibes are on their way.
dooley and wannabe, Hope everything turns out well with beetle. My prayers are with you all. Barb in Pa.
Really unhappy to learn of this, Dooley. I sure will be thinking lots and lots of positive thoughts for her. Please do keep us posted on the developments....(with respect for her privacy, of course). It does seem as things are coming -along, but slowly for you guys. It is a complicated couple of problems to address, but hopefully the various docs can reach an agreement on the most careful way to approach Wannabe's problems. I am sorry for you guys that it seems to be dragging so.
