Singapore Visitor Centre. Tourists queueing up to hitch a 30-minute complimentary bus ride on a topless bus that brings them to Orchard Road.

It was 9pm by the time we returned to our guestroom. Waited another 3hrs before the Countdown to 2009. I will post the pictures of the 8 minute long fireworks taken from our guestroom.

Today, marks the 9th day of Christmas and I hope it has been a fantastic one for you and your family ... once again, may 2009 brings you love, happiness, prosperity and most importantly great health to enjoy many more Christmas and new year!

    Stay tuned ...

Songlim, I've never seen so many lights and decorations in real life before! :D I'm so glad you posted them. We tend to be homebodies around Christmas, so I guess I'll never get to see anything like that except from on photos.

Thanks for posting them. They are truly a sight!

Droopy, I guess Singapore is one of the countries that makes it so commercialized. Late night shoppers post Christmas. The streets are crowded with people (mostly tourists) taking pictures of the decorations. It would be nice if it was cool. I gathered other countries especially those that experience Winter snow will stay indoor because it is so cold outdoor!

The outside decorations here aren't as colourful as yours by a long shot. :D But neither is the inside decor, even though people do spend lots of time indoors at this time of year. But then we haven't got very big shopping streets either.
