You've got a charming lot of neighbours, destructive or not. I can just make out the water vole. I love the bees and the birds and can't help thinking that the mother duck would be better off nesting at your place. I remember the nice little ramp you made for her and the babes last year and can't for the life of me understand why she doesn't remember herself.
That mother duck would have indeed been better off on my lottie...because once the tall grass had been cut...the magpies and jackdaws plundered her nest and ruined all the eggs. I haven't seen the mother for quite a while now. Pity.
great pics of all your critters sjoerd! it is indeed so sad about poor mom duck. those swans are so beautiful. i see you didn't get a new titmouse house yet...weren't you thinking of that earlier this year?
Hi Sjoerd, i must have being away when you first posted!,..what a great selection of wildlife you captured on your camera,..lol about the tactics of the Vole,..though i know its certainly not funny when your plants vanished,..downwards!,..we have Voles here,..but i hope they keep away.
Well, those water voles sure are a nuisence, but for the moment, they are staying on their side of the canal...so that's fine.
