What a mess! Don't you wish you could just turn back time when something like this happens? You could just delay it long enough to get all the people safely away. dooley

So true, but unfortunately so impossible. I guess we'll have to be thankful for those saved.

Thank you for your support, all of you. The Queen is coming up tomorrow to attend the service for those missing. Ours is a fairly small town, and everybody knows somebody who's affected.

The accident must have touched the nation for the queen to come.
Is that fire out yet, or do they plan to let it burn itself out?

BTW... I notice that you have changed your avatar. Gorgeous flowers and bee. What a lovely tint of blue.

The government and royals are very good at showing their support. It means a lot to us. It's still burning, and there's still danger of the block collapsing or sliding further out, so the people living in the area are still evacuated.

The flower is the Gentiana makinoi. I felt I needed a change.

What a terrible tragedy Droopy. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I had not heard about this at all and just read the posts.

Thank you. The block hasn't collapsed completely yet, and the propane gas is still burning. They're working to see if anybody can get in there safely now.
