    5F, Feels like -7, 68% Humidity, Winds W @ 8MPH.

The flower is a Pershin Corn Flower. Don't be throwing out the long johns just yet people. Future weather forecast has the night time lows back in the minus range middle of next week. Day time highs will only be in the teens at best.

Cloudy this morning. It does appear to be opening up to clear skys soon.

The deer are not crossing the creek to lay up in the pines. I went and had a look at the crossing yesterday and believe that the deer are avoiding the frozen steep bank along with the ice on the creek. It would be afful easy to slip in the bank due to poor footing then hit the ice and hurt ones self.

Were under a severe winter alert here. These young weather people on the Telly now, get so excited it seems these days. They keep telling we are going to get the first major storm of the winter. Then say the snow fall amounts will be 4 to 6 inches. That isn't much more than a heavy frost for this area.
Most of the 80% Of Michigans populis knows it snows in the winter and gets cold we have learned to go with the flow and deal with it. The remaining 20% are made up of whiners who would whine no matter the weather (to hot) and those that got lost along the way and can't seem to find their way back south. I always try to point that direction out to them when they are whining to me.

Sounds familiar, Al. My arm gets REAL tired from pointing north
when the snowbirds land here and start squawking about how it's not like "home".

You're right about us Michiganders. We have four seasons like everyone else just with different names - Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter and Road Construction. I love your pics of the lupines - they are one of my favorites.

Got about 2 1/2 inches of snow last evening and into the night. About 300 schools are once again closed due to the drifting snow and cold temps. It is again starting to snow as I look out the window.

    HAPPY VALINTINES DAY.

Thank you all for the nice comments. One I do have to make a comment on my self.
It is the almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction.
:D :D We in this area have a fifth season called swatting season.

This is our north garden a couple of years ago. It is much bigger now. It is the garden to the left of the giants foot prints to the left. To the right from the foot prints is the south garden also much bigger.
