Popped in to see Debs today - she is home now and a nurse and a 'helper' is going in everyday to do whatever is needed. She has had lots of visitors, so I didn't want to get in the way, but as I was going to the supermarket, I checked in to see if she needed anything. She did, so now she is all stocked up again and doesn't have to worry. She is incredibly sore and the painkillers aren't helping, so she isn't sleeping terribly well. I am going to keep my eye out for the nurse, but it is hard as I am working, but if I spot her, I want to make sure they are aware that she is still in pain. I am having a cookery party in a couple of weeks, like tupperware, but this is all fancy cookware stuff and the lady that comes cooks a savoury platter and a sweet tray, so I have invited Debs as she should be, fingers crossed, a lot more comfortable and it will be a good excuse for her to get out of the house and be looked after for an evening.
Glad to hear she is home now. Make sure either she tells the nurse about the pain or maybe you could leave a note on the fridge for her.
So pleased to hear that Debbie is home again Emma. So much better to be in her own comfortable surroundings. Yes, the nurse should be aware of the pain she is still in. Nice idea to have her to your cookery party, hopefully it will take her mind off things for a short while.
Great news that your neighbour and friend is home again. It has to be nice for her to be there. I hope that you can alert the nurse about Debs' pain. You are a great pal to have, Emma. I'll bet the Deb appreciates you more than she can tell you. You do such an admirable job supporting her. I admire you very much for this. It is not everyone that can handle being with patients who have this debilitating and cruel illness. --Chapeau!
Debbie has sure been on my mind a lot lately :-D I hope she heals fast and can get rid of the pain. She is blessed to have such a great friend!
