Capt. K you could hire a Woodchuck to chuck all that wood for you. But they would probably just throw it all over your yard.

KK I to would not want to chop all that wood by hand. DH and your son must have had really sore hands after all that chopping. :D

Y'all are talking about firewood and stocking up for the winter. We are having 100 degree days. Sure wish there was a wood you could burn to run the air conditioning! :)

This Sunday they are saying a low of 52 for Columbus Ohio. We are always lower than them, so we could be down in the 40's on Sun. morning.

We also have gone from extreme lows-like 42* at night. But I use to have customer who LOVED cutting wood. For Christmas Bonus would bring us 2 cords of seasoned hardwood. He moved to Texas.
Dh and DS split wood with wedge shape like a twister. And sledge hammer. They sent me to buy new sledge. Said never again for me to buy it. Guess got pretty heavy one. Instead of buying splitter. Will rent one $50 a day

I have had my hydraulic splitter for about 20 years. It has way more than paid for itself. But every year I have to put electric tape around the spark plug wire where the mice have chewed it off, down to the bare wire.
