Seven more days, Dooley! ...Just one thing: when you pull the plug on your compi, how are y'gonna hear us counting? hahahaha
She won't have to, Sjoerd, because then there's no more counting to do. We can start counting upwards on Tuesday, to see how many days go by before Dooley's online again. I really dislike it when Stewbies disappear, planned or not.
If we pack the computer on Tuesday I can go to the library on Wednesday and use their computer. Thursday is Thanksgiving and we shall probably end up at Dan's for awhile and we can use his computer. Friday after we load the truck we will go to Dan's over night and we can use his computer. Saturday morning we will start out. Maybe Dan will bring his laptop. I will ask him. After we get to Texas I can walk across the road and use Glenda's computer until I get mine back again. See! I have it all figured out. You won't miss me at all. We got lots done today. The kitchen cupboards are all empty except for the pots and pans and some canned goods to be packed from the cupboard. I think sometime tomorrow I have to make some pies. I have some of those refrigerated pie shells that need used. Of course, we'll get fat eating four pies so I guess I will have to give some to the neighbors. Oh, darn! I packed the pie tins. Maybe I can use a cookie sheet and make pumpkin squares. I'll have to improvise I think. Odd shaped pies? What else do I have that I need to use. Eggs to go in the pies. Salad stuff that we will eat for lunch or supper. Tomorrow we have to take Chance for shots and pack the truck for the flea market on Saturday. I saw there was rain in the forecast for Thanksgiving so I hope it goes elsewhere for Friday. Time for bed. dooley
So glad you've almost finished with the packing Dooley. It sounds as though you have the computer side of things organised too - now that's good thinking!!! :-D Glenda will be biting her fingernails right up to her elbows waiting for you to arrive. Now remember - don't go packing the camera in the bottom of a box 'cause we want piccies as soon as you get there!!!
Ok then... whew! You've got it all worked-out, then. Good-o! These last days really seem busy there. --Ditto on what Eileen said.
Whew, you are amazing, I'd be about where you are an hour before go-time, I'm such a procrastinator! Fold the pie shells in half, fill them with whatever leftovers, crimp the edges together, bake, and viola, travel food. Hope that rain goes elsewhere for you, and that the flea market goes really well!
Oh, that's a good idea for travel food. I never even thought of it being used as anything but pie. I made cranberry muffins to take to the flea market tomorrow. It's the same recipe for bread but I bake it in muffin cups. I put the papers in the pan to make transport easier. We took Chance for her shots today. The vet wanted to look at her teeth but Chance wasn't having it, thank you. They put a muzzle on her for the shots. One was liquid that they shot into her mouth. They are sending us some tranquilizer pills for the trip. She was so anxious on the trip up but she did better coming home. I knew we should have been taking her for more rides. But, time just gets away from you. Boy, are the rooms beginning to look empty. Time for bed. dooley
Dooley: Just reading thru these post trying to catch up. hmm your talking about your dinner on thanksgiving, well 5 years ago when we were looking for property here, we did our thanksgiving dinner tail gate style. Never thinking that 6 months after that that we'd be where we are today. I know everything will good for you and you'll be in your new home before you know it.
I will be walking the floor before they get here.I will share my computer with them if they can stand the slow dialup. I hope Dan will try to get mine like its suppose to be while he is here.Just a few more days now.
