Good morning all. Just another hot, dry day here. Might be a slight chance of rain later but not holding my breath waiting on it.

The worlds largest bird feeder has been active these last few days. We have a Fig tree in the back garden, we don't eat the Figs, we tried them but found we don't like them. We bought the tree about 10 years ago and it is now huge and loaded with fruit. Every July into August when the Figs ripen the tree sways and chirps for days and days.
It's funny too that every Spring I see baby Fig trees in yards all around our neighborhood

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 12°C and cloudy. These cooler days are great for working and cool nights great for sleeping! Off to work, focusing on the veggie patch today. The weeds are out of control! Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. What happened to the cool front they were predicting? Looks like it'll be here this weekend... with rain! BOOO!!! No! Not this weekend... it's the church's big bazaar. Time to do my anti-rain dance again.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently just 10°C. Cherylad, I think we found your cool front ... been chilly and wet here all week. Made my second batch of pickles yesterday, I hope they turn out! Off to work to another busy day of pruning and weeding. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Got 3/4 inch of rain yesterday. That's it clouds... get it out of your system before the weekend! :D
Today's my last day of work for the week and I have Monday off, so it feels like Friday. Getting the last of my stuff prepped for the big plant sale on Sunday. We've managed to get 125 plants... 70 varieties! Now if ma nature will just cooperate (please m'aam).

Our carpenter took my 1880 Roll top desk home. A month ago Dh thought it was empty . Cam apart at seams. Had to take it apart. Mark the many panels. It was pretty. Glad he has all the clamps etc.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 11°C and still dark. It must be overcast for it to be so dark this morning! Not liking these shorter days much ... also had to turn the lights on over the soccer field last night for the first time. Off to work, have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. It sure feels good out there this morning with temps in the mid 70s... and overcast. That system is supposed to be headed in tonight through tomorrow bringing rain and much needed relief from the heat. Getting ready to take my aunt shopping and then maybe I'll have time to get some mowing done before headed over to the church to help with setting up barricades, tables, etc for the weekend.
Last night's weather forecast shows that Friday will be rainy but Saturday and Sunday should only have a slight chance for rain. Maybe my anti-rain dance is working? :D

Good Friday morning all. Currently 14°C and dark. I hope today is better than yesterday ... my brakes stuck ON in my car yesterday, causing a smoke show. Thank goodness for a mechanic in the house, it is fixed and ready to drive this morning. I'm keeping my fingers crossed there are no more surprises today! Vehicles can be so stressful sometimes. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. A big bad storm barely made it here... there was flooding just north of me, but we only got 1/4 inch of rain. More on the way today supposedly.
I guess I should get out there and get the mowing at least started. Then head over to the church to see what else needs to be done getting set up for dance number 1 tonight. My feet are already hurting! :D

Good morning all. I was very optimistic about the amount of rain we got on Wednesday and yesterday. The rain gauge out back has only registered 1/4th of an inch for the two days, I will be watering a lot tomorrow.
It's only 70 degrees this morning and feels wonderful. Perfect weather to get some cleaning up done in the back yard.

Good morning! It's cloudy and misty and wet this morning. We received .80 inches of rain since yesterday afternoon. It may rain some more today or we may be on the edge of it again. It sometimes goes on either side of us. I think that interstate highway generates enough heat to send it away and we live a mile or so from the highway.
Everything is still green though so we must be getting what we need. I don't water. It's cool enough to cut grass this morning, but the grass is wet.

It started out sunny then became cloudy and now it is raining. Also some thunder and lighting. I never replaced our rain gauge this year so don't know how much we got but cars are splashing through puddles on the road.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 14°C and cloudy. The storms missed us completely, but there were a few doozies just south of here! Hoping to get caught up on my housework/yardword today ... this place is a MESS! Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. Enjoying this cool weather. It's in the low 70s now but will be heating up to low 90s and just a slight chance of rain today. Yesterday was supposed to be the rainest day, but that front moved through and left a nice cool day especially with a little breeze. The turnout wasn't very good at the dance last night. Can't blame the weather! Hopefully tonight will be more successful.
So today is the day I started gathering up and sorting through the plants for the sale tomorrow. I have the tables in place, just need to make sure they get the tents up today. I sure hope alot of these plants find a home!
