Good Sunday morning all. Currently 16°C and overcast. There has been a chance of rain and thunderstorms every day this week, and not once did I get rain at home! I guess today will be dedicated to watering the gardens. But first, a little housework. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Our nice coolish respite from summer has come to an end, temps into the 90's again and 100 by the weekend. :'(
But I got 10 bags of mulch spread on a trouble spot in the backyard yesterday. That spot has been the bane of my gardening life for years so we covered it with leaves I had cleaned up out of the front beds, laid cardboard on top of that and am covering it all with mulch.

Now I just have to wait until another cool down to get more mulch and expand that area.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 13°C and still dark. I'm having to delay my morning dog walk a little more each week. Soon I will be walking in total darkness. Off to work on this civic holiday, have a great day all :)

Good morning all. This months temperatures mean I will have to find a miners helmet with the light and get out side about 3 a.m. if I want to do any gardening for the next few weeks.

My yearly countdown to Autumn is in progress, 50 days until the Autumnal Equinox on Sept 23rd. Typically by then we have seen the end of 90+ temps and the 80's feel like a cold front. Just hope the weeds have not completely swallowed up the front garden.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 15°C and dark. Off to work, where today the local tv station is filming in/about the gardens I work in. Should be an interesting day! Have a great one everybody :)

Happy Tuesday morning and back to work for much needed rest. :D
We had a gorgeous weekend with temps in the 80s and some clouds. There was some rain chances, but luckily they stayed away. Same for Saturday. Sunday was a little hotter with highs in the low 90s. But it felt pretty pleasant with some cloud cover and a nice breeze.
Yesterday was back to normal hot with temps near 100. I got a quick rain shower that left 1/3 inch of much needed rain.
Today, I think will be about the same as yesterday, except the rain chances are pretty slim. I need to give the plants a good drink this evening since they were ignored practically all weekend.

Good morning all. Man, when the weather guy said the temps would be in the 100+ range by the weekend, he wasn't kidding. We are looking at temps around 105 by Saturday. Lots of watering to do tomorrow to get plants fully hydrated before then.

I'm thinking every one in the family is getting socks for Christmas this year. I have so much sock yard just sitting around that has to be used....so I won't have to feel guilty about buying even more. I have a month of sitting in the house because of the heat and several DVD's I haven't watched yet or lately that are great knitting movies.

Happy Wednesday morning. Summer temps are back and getting hotter everyday for the rest of the week and practically no chance of rain in sight. I didn't get to water yesterday, so really need to make a point to get out the hoses this evening.
One more plant to deliver this afternoon and all of the sold ones will be at their new homes.

Good morning all. We had rain last evening, totally unexpected until I heard a loud clap of thunder and the rain didn't amount to very much only 1/2 inch. But it was most welcome.

Also started a Myazaki anime film marathon while knitting. I love his movies.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 16°C and clear. I had a hard time waking up this morning, and I wish I was still in bed! Off to work, where I suspect it will be a LONG day! Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. It was a little foggy this morning. Good ol' humidity! Temps will be near 100 and just a slight chance for an afternoon pop-up shower.
I at least managed to get everything in the back a good drink. This evening... it'll be the front's turn for a drink.

Rain, rain and more rain. Not a hard rain just consistent. Thunderstorms for later tonight and tomorrow. What a way to start the State Fair.

Cloudy here today but hot, too. So, what do you do a a hot day. You turn on the oven and make pie and muffins. Now, we have a really hot kitchen despite having the a/c going the whole time. But, we also have a lovely peach pie and a dozen blueberry muffins.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 11°C and dark. High pressure has set in and so that means wonderful weather for the next few days. No rain recently or any time in the near future so that means a day of watering. Have a great day all :)
