Ha! We got some rain yesterday, a whole tenth of an inch. It came down all at once when we were trying to carry groceries in from the truck! Then, it stopped. We didn't even have to change, our clothes were dry before I got the groceries put away.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 12°C and dark. There were 2 crickets in the house last night, singing to each other and keeping me awake. I hope the cat finds them while I'm at work today, or I will be looking for them myself! It's going to be a hot one today, also tomorrow. Summer may finally be here! Off to work, have a great day all :)

Another lovely day. Will be working outside for the most of it. Cleaning up the garden debris. Still squash, cukes and beans growing yet. DH is so impatient on getting the gardens done up for winter. However, I think he just likes to to play on the tractor! Have to go and watch him to make sure he doesn't run over any vines. Have a great day everyone.

We're going to go on an over-night camping trip. We just bought the camper so we want to take it up in the mountains and get a little dust on it. I've got everything pack but the food.

Happy Thursday morning. Just a little fog this morning, but it quickly dissipated. High temps still hovering around 93F. Sure is nice not having to drag out the water hoses, but those darn containers still need water every day.
Going to stop by the big nursery on the way home and see if they have any "color" left in their 70% off sale. I've got some holes that need filled in.

Happy Friday morning! Same ol' weather pattern... 74-93F with a slight chance of rain. I've decided to have a small party the last weekend of the month, so this weekend, I'll start on the great garden clean-up.
And I need to get these left-over plants ready for sale in two weeks. Time for another dose of miracle gro and trimming, etc.

Good morning all. Our normal weather pattern is no rain and temps from 80 overnight to 97 in the afternoon. This pattern has hung around for so long that it can't seem to remember it should be more flexible, maybe throw us off guard by letting the overnight temp fall into the 70's and there are other numbers that can be used for a high temp .....my luck it will change and the 100's will return.

Still making peach jam, but yesterday's batch didn't set so it has to be remade.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 16°C and overcast. Wicked storm yesterday, high winds, hail, rain, thunder and an amazing lightening show. My larger trees were damaged, my picnic table destroyed and my tv tower bent. Lots of branched to pick up, and damage in the garden to fix where the lounge chairs were blown on top. On the up side, at least all the gardens are watered  Have a great day all :)

Geesh, I can't beg, borrow or steal any rain this year. Today is watering day for the front yard, we have been keeping pretty much on top of the back yard with buckets of water from letting shower water warm up and daughter's dehumidifier that gives us 70 pints every couple of days. And yeah, I changed my mind about not watering anything and letting it fend for itself.

Morning all, we are still having 96 and 97 degree days, but today it might just be 93. A little over 2 weeks until the Autumnal Equinox but longer than that to actual Autumn weather here.

Good day all! The camping trip was great but then had to unload and clean it up. I planned on planting a shrub today but is 62, cloudy, and the wind is blowing.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 9°C and sunny. There seems to be another cricket in the house, chirping happily. Yard cleanup took a while yesterday, but its all done. Today, laundry and cleaning and then out to the garden to pick tomatoes. Have a great day all :)
