I am moving some of my lilies today, cutting back the 4 foot Penstemon (that was suppose to be 18 inches tall) and moving it to the back. In general, just trying to straighten up my flowerbeds.

Good evening! Where did the day go? Busy cleaning and downsizing so we have more room. Local museum and thrift store are happy with us. It is surprising how easy it is for clutter to take over. Winter is coming and we'll be inside more so need more room.
    Have a good evening now.

Happy Monday morning. I had a pretty productive weekend. I got about 3/4ths of the back beds cleaned up. Was able to get the mowing edging done. Even trimmed a few low-hanging branches. Then the rain came (1.5 inches) before I could haul them to the burn pile in the pasture. The ground is still saturated from last week's rains, and there's no way I'm going out there and getting stuck. They'll just have to lay where they are until it dries up a bit.
I should be able to finish up the back yard bit by bit during the week. And then get to the front yard next weekend.

Good Monday morning to you all.

I am backed up with tomatoes, green and waxed beans since I have had this Summer cold. Not to mention my 50 pounds of potatoes I have to can. All the tomatoes are in the pots cooking down now. I will make thick already flavored with spices and the like before canning. Been a good year for tomatoes in my yard.

We are finishing up the chicken coop. We both broke ourselves yesterday putting up and chain link fence and netting over that. I think I have to recover from blisters and aches before I get back out there.

Have a great day today everyone.

I did get my lilies transplanted and was getting a good start on the rest when it started raining. Today we're driving 60 miles to the 'big' town to do some necessary shopping for things that are not available in our small town. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 17°C and dark, with a beautiful bright 'Harvest Moon'. I love to read the previous days posts here each morning to see what everyone is up to. Alberta had snowfall yesterday, reminding me that winter is just around the corner! Off to work, have a great day all :)

Getting more rain. Glad new gutters are up. Flash floods warning in parts of Iowa.

Happy Tuesday morning. That Harvest Moon was REALLY bright last night. It was like someone turned on the security lights... and the porch lights. Even a couple of my pathway lights didn't light up.
Still warm here with temps from mid 70s to mid 90s. Only a slight chance of rain. Guess I'll be watering those containers this evening. At least all my rain barrels are full!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 15°C and dark. The moon is very bright though! Off to work, and I hope I am able to get the full day in ... rain in the forecast for this afternoon and tonight. Then again, it would be nice to be done early! Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. I finished weeding/cleaning up the back beds yesterday. Now to move to the front. Then it'll be time to start on the back again! :D

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 19°C and windy. We had rain and strong winds overnight. I guess I won't know about any damage until after work ... it is getting so DARK in the mornings! Preparing for our fall fair tonight, but first a long day at work. Have a great day all :)

It looks like it's going to be a nice day so I'll be doing some more transplanting.
