Morning all. I should have known not to get my hopes up about the cool front and rain predicted for last night and today. The cool front is still not here and the rain was all south, east and north of us. So my yard is still hot and dry.
It got to 102 yesterday and the only thing good in our forecast for now is temps only in the upper 80's.

Sold 50 dozen eggs today. Think that's a record. I am still sick with this cold so I am sleeping for the rest of the day.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 8°C (Brrrr!) and sunny. I have the day off today, to spend with my daughter at the Fall Fair. It is a tradition started when we moved here in 2003 and I got to spend the day with all 3 kids. Now they are older, one works and one is away at college. These traditions are getting to mean a lot more to me as my youngest is now 11 and will be gone before I know it. An added bonus is we may even win some $$$ for our entries. It's going to be a great day :)

Happy Friday morning. Just about to leave to take my aunt to do her shopping. Then I can start my big clean up in the front. There's supposed to be a good chance of rain today, but the sky is clear. Hopefully the rains will stay away until later in the day... I've got those tree branches to haul to the burn pile and it's finally dry enough to get back there... otherwise, they'll sit where they are for a while longer.

It's kind of windy outside but is warming up a bit. I think I'll be able to get the rest of the transplanting done today.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 8°C and overcast, with rain expected. We had a lovely day at the fair yesterday! My daughter did well with her exhibits and made $35 for her efforts. It wasn't my best year for exhibits, but I was very surprised to win 3rd place for both my salsa and strawberry jam! It was my first time making both so I was very pleased. Cleaning and laundry today, such fun. Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday afternoon. I got alot done in the front yesterday, but didn't finish it all. So will get that and the rest of the mowing done today. It sprinkled off and on yesterday, but no real accumulation.
I got up this morning and went into town for a trade fair... not much there. Oh well.
But the weather today... oh my! It's just after noon and it's 77F! Overcast with a slight breeze. I just might have to put on a jacket! :D
Door and windows open to let this nice fresh cool air do it's magic on the house.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently just 8°C and overcast. It didn't get as cold as it was supposed to thanks to the cloud cover. Walked the dog and found a loaded apple tree in the neighboring field - they are very few and far between this year. I filled my pockets with enough for a pie, but will head back later for more. Cool and wet so I will probably spend my day in the kitchen processing tomatoes and making pie. Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. Temps never made it to 80F yesterday and it's only in the 60s now. Unheard of for here at this time of year. They say it's going back up to 90F, but I don't think so, unless the sun breaks through the clouds. Normally I would have been outside early trying to get things done before it got too hot. Today, the opposite. Just a little too cool for me, so I'll take advantage of this time to get some housework done. And then later on I can finish the mowing... maybe... or I just putter around enjoying all this coolness. :stew2:

Good Monday morning all. Currently 9°C and dark. Cool temperatures forecast all week, hard to believe it is still officially summer. Moving slowly this morning, it was hard getting up for work. A few more weeks it will all be over for another season and I'll be able to sleep in again. Have a great day all :)

I'm done with transplanting until spring so guess I'll do a little house cleaning. Or maybe just sit on the patio and relax.

Happy Monday morning and back to work. The weather yesterday was awesome... didn't reach 80F until late afternoon. I spent the majority of the day doing housecleaning... it was actually a little cool to be outside. Today... back to 90F with a slight chance of rain this afternoon.

Good morning all. We got home from our Yurt weekend in Abilene last evening, unloaded the truck and collapsed into our recliners with adult beverages. Dishes, laundry, take photos of new junque and size scenery photos are on my to-do list today. The weather was perfect, foggy, misty, windy and cold on Friday and overcast, breezy and cool on Saturday but the clouds cleared out so we could sit out side and watch the stars that night.
