We woke up to storms this morning. It rained for a couple of hours. We have 2.5 inches in the rain gauge. It's still really windy but the sun came back about 11 am. dr washed a load of clothes and with the wind and sun they got dry fairly quick even with the damp and wet outside. It's supposed to be sunny and windy the next few days. Maybe we can get the fall cleanup done outside.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 15°C and dark. It is going to be a very warm day today, hitting 25°C with a humidex of 30°C! Off to work to begin the final week of cleanup. I do hope the weather for the rest of the week co-operates! Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. I got just over an inch of rain from that system that moved through yesterday. There's a few small branches on the ground, but no wind damage. It was 54F this morning when I left the house. Going to be super nice the next few days with highs in the low 80s and lots of sunshine.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 18°C and raining. I had a very exhausting day at work yesterday, but somehow found enough energy to plant a new apple tree in my yard when I got home yesterday. Thank goodness for turkey leftovers for dinner, then a quick shower and off to bed early. I am feeling well rested now and off to work for another busy day! Skating with my youngest at 5pm tonight as well, I should have no trouble sleeping tonight! Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. It was 49F when I left home this morning. But we'll warm up to the lower 80s in no time... and a gorgeous week ahead with temps from mid60s to mid80s and lots of sunshine!

Good morning all! My apologies if I'm not as active for a few days as I'm taking a small holiday to see some friends. My normal service will be returned next Tuesday but of course I'll be checking in from time to time :)
    Have a terrific Thursday all!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 11°C and dark. Winding down in the gardens at work today, only a few left to clean out. Today we are cleaning up the herbs and the last of the veggies (sunchokes, parsley, celeriac, chard) and planting bulbs. I really can't believe that we are almost done another season! Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. A repeat of gorgeous weather today... cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons.
As I was looking around yesterday, I noticed lots of twigs/sticks that were blown down during that last storm a couple of days ago. Guess it's time for me to play "pick up sticks" before I can mow this weekend. :stew2:

Good morning all. I feel great because I was able to work a couple of hours in the garden yesterday for the first time in 5 months....but I on the other hand I have aches and pains because I worked in the garden for the first time in 5 months.
Eventually I will be able to stand up straight, but until then I do a great impersonation of the hunchback of Notre Dame.

Good afternoon/evening! Spent the day sitting around doctor's offices and labs waiting! I would think if they make you have an appointment they should darn well keep it themselves. First one was at 8:30 am. Took me an hour to drive there because of morning traffic. Didn't get in to the exam room until almost 9 am. Waited some more. Saw the doctor for approximately 5 minutes. Everything is fine, prescriptions will be renewed when pharmacist calls them in to the doctor's office. Second appointment was at 10 am. We got out of there at 11:30. Saw the doctor for a bit longer but it involved a lot of chitchat about family and non-medical stuff. Then to the lab for blood draw. Stuck with needle three times before they found a vein that would give enough blood to fill three large tubes. Then, to lunch and home by 3:30 pm. Wonder why I don't like doing doctor visits?

Good Friday morning all. Currently 12°C and dark. Keeping my fingers crossed that I finish all my work today! We have bulbs to plant and clean up to do yet, but we also have to help bring in the docks etc. I DO hope this is the last day! To top off my day, I get to pick up my son from College for a whole week home! Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. Another beautiful day today. Looking forward to the weekend. Going to a craft show with a couple of my work buddies on Saturday and then going to check out one of their sister's flowers/gardens.

Good morning all. 62 degrees in the morning is a good thing, could use some 60 deg temps for highs in the afternoon too....but that's just me.

I have bulbs to plant this morning and move some of the tall Mexican Petunias that are not getting enough sun where they are to bloom and there is a good sized sunny spot out back just waiting for them.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 9°C and overcast, with rain in today's forecast. I worked my butt of yesterday and all the work got done, but not without lots of muscle aches this morning! Even my fingers ache! I think I'd better wait a few days to do my own garden cleanup. Off to skating this morning with my youngest, I will most certainly be bringing along a thermos of coffee! Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday evening. I spent the day with my garden buddies from work. We went to a craft fair, then to the mall (they were keen on checking out a big sale... Me? not so much! LOL)
Then off to lunch. Then to check out the mark-down rack at "that" garden center. Then to visit one of the lady's sisters and get the tour of her of gardens. Came home with cookies, cake, and limes. And oh yeah... some plants.
Tomorrow.. no goofing off for me. I skipped mowing last weekend, and I really must get to it in the morning. And get these new plants situated.
And once that's all done, then I'm supposed to be at the monthly neighborhood gathering to help out.
Beautiful weather here still... from upper 60s to mid 80s and sunshine. :stew2:
