Good afternoon all! Very wet and windy in my part of the world today. Definitely a day for the ducks and tomorrow is promised to be worse (possibly this weekend also). So needless to say I'm working indoors today :)

Happy Thursday morning. There was only about 1/4th inch of rain yesterday/overnight. Was hoping for more, but happy to get that.
Temps today from lower 60s to lower 80s. Still cloudy but is supposed to be clearing up. Come on 4'oclock.... 3 day weekend ahead!

Cheryl, enjoy your three-day weekend (and perhaps a little craft fair/junque shopping?)
We received 1 7/8" of rain over Tuesday and Wednesday, and today I slogged out to the garden to pick peppers, green beans, and a cucumber!

Good Friday morning all. Currently -1°c with brisk NW winds and snow falling. Cleaning is on the agenda today and possibly picking up my son for the weekend. I hope the snow stops soon! Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. No work for me today so I got to sleep in. Temps in the upper 50s now, breezy and sunny.
Was supposed to take my aunt to do her shopping today, but she's not feeling well. But I still need to go. Gotta put some food in the house since my sister and brother from California will be here next week for our nephew's wedding.
Then I'll either tidy up around the yard or inside the house.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. Found a tiny orange kitten in our ditch this morning. Or should I say my dog found it! Little guy wasn't afraid of the dog and followed us all the way to the house. I gave it some softened cat kibble out on the porch and it gobbled it up. Asked the girl working at the barn next door if they were missing a kitten and she said they didn't have any kittens over there. We both didn't want anything to happen to the cute little thing so she snuck it back to the barn. I know they will take good care of it over there. So it looks as if it was dumped in our ditch and that makes me mad. I have always heard stories about people dumping animals in the country but this is the first time it has happened to me and it makes me very mad! Anyway ... we are off to skating shortly. Have a great day all :)

Glad you found a home for the kitten!

Yesterday was a cool day, temps never rose above the mid 60s.
Today, probably the same, but hopefully the wind is gone.
The forecast calls for temps in the 30s for next weekend, so that means I'll spend this weekend getting all the plants tucked away for the winter.
But first, I'm off to 3 craft/trade fairs. I've been disappointed with the ones the last couple of weeks. Hopefully today there will be lots of cool crafty folks and things!

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. Thankfully, no kittens found on our dog walk this morning! I found myself thinking about that cute little kitten all day yesterday ... it was just so tiny and CUTE and so helpless! It must have been out there all night, cold and desperate to try and befriend a large dog like that LOL Feisty little guy ... who could just leave a little thing like that in the ditch? Today is clean up day and then I have to take my son back to school. Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. Yesterday warmed up nicely to the mid 70s. Hope today is the same.
    Clear skies and no breeze.
First order of the day... clean house. I'm not allowed to go outside until it's done! :D
Then I'll move the rest of the plants to the winterhouse and hook up the lights. The really timid stuff is already in the laundry room and the garage.
And who knows... maybe I'll even get to some that weeding? :p

Good morning all. Nice day to get plants ready for the cold weather heading this far south. I have some plants that just never got in the ground because the ground was like cement so they will be re-potted, trimmed and placed in the greenhouse too. I am so ready for the garden to shut down for a few months. Over winter and early spring we will be putting down new soaker hoses, nutrients and new mulch to be ready for next years growth and the soaker hoses under the mulch will be more efficient for watering through another summer of drought.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast with light snow falling. Feeling motivated to start my fall clean up today so I had better get to it before the feeling passes! Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Back to work. A little patchy fog on my commute but its nice and clear here with temps in the upper 40s and a high expected in the high 70s.
Went to a Holiday Market at a friend's church over the weekend and got a call that I won something in the raffle! Can't wait to find out what it is.
My sister is here from California... she stayed the weekend at one of our cousins but will be coming to the house tonight. It's all clean... now about supper....

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 3°C with sunny skies. Looks like a beautiful day ahead, which is good for all the Remembrance Day ceremonies taking place today. Please remember to take some time today to think about those who helped make our countries what they are today.
    Lest we forget

Happy Tuesday morning and Happy Veteran's Day.
Today started off pleasant with temps in the upper 60s.... but changes are on the way this afternoon. That arctic blast is making it's way down here and we'll dip down into the mid 50s by the evening. And there's a 40% chance of rain. Could reach the freezing mark by Thursday morning.
All of the plants are tucked away and ready... well... except for a couple and I'll tend to them this evening.
