Frank? Did the cold break us????

Busy Thursday for me. Making sure the chickens are ok and the water is not frozen. The new operation is doing well but stressful for me to iron out all the wrinkles.

Making sure the greenhouse is running ok.

Next is egg delivery and exercise class. That takes me to early afternoon.

    Then to plan dinner.

Good Thursday morning all. currently sunny and -5°C with nasty west winds. It's my shopping and errand day but the driveway keeps blowing in with snow GRRR Guess this will be a good test for the AWD, just hope I don't rip my exhaust off. Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. Temps from the upper 40s to low 70s today with a slight chance of rain. This is "normal" weather for us instead of those few days of "winter". Yesterday's frost did kill off a few of the more tropical/timid stuff... mostly the leaves and some annuals. I need to get out to the winterhouse and water those darn containers... they have got to be thirsty.

Good morning all. Temp here is heading towards 70 today I am really hoping we get the rain being predicted for the weekend cause there is none in the forecast for about 2 weeks after. Cold snaps in early November are uncommon but really not unusual for my part of the world and it's not uncommon to have 80+ degree days.... in November 2003 I was still picking cotton from the plants in the back garden.

Like Netty, this was my errand day to town, but I didn't have to worry about losing my undercarriage in a snow drift!
I picked up 50 lbs. of scratch for the hens, to keep them warm on cold nights. If they have scratch in their craws, their digestive systems keep working and that adds warmth to their bodies. Personally, I prefer a tot of whiskey . . . .
Husband is mowing, and I'm putting the finishing touches to the paint in our bedroom. Temperature is 68 right now, so I have the windows open, which helps dissipate the paint odor!

Our truck came home today after having been in the garage for repairs for about seven weeks. They had to do a lot of work on it and each time they fixed something they found something else that needed to be taken care of, too. We tried for a couple of months to tell them it wasn't working right and finally took it in and let it die at their front door. Guess they will believe us now. We took it for a ride to Huntsville and had lunch and drove back home. It is working just fine now. It has an almost new engine with all the new parts they had to put on it. I'm extremely happy to have it back though. We had a car they loaned us while they worked on our truck but I like my truck.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -12°C and cloudy. The snow and wind has finally stopped. I must tell you how impressed I was with the All Wheel Drive on my vehicle yesterday. By the time I returned from my shopping trip yesterday there were drifts half way up the hood of my vehicle. I just grit my teeth and hoped for the best, not really expecting to make it through, but it went right through piece of cake! So impressed!! Having said that, the temperatures are going on the rise in the next few days and all this snow is going to melt. Off to a parent teacher interview this morning, and then home to prepare for my daughters birthday tomorrow. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning! Today's temps from lower 60s to mid 70s. It rained a little bit overnight is still kinda drizzly this morning. I did get the stuff in the winterhouse watered yesterday. Happy to have this little rain and tomorrow is supposed to bring even more.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -2°C and overcast. The winds seem to be picking up again, but no snow as of yet. Off to skating this morning and then home to make a birthday brunch for my daughter who turns 20 today! I can't even believe I am old enough to have a 20 year old daughter! Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. Temps in the mid 60s now. Big bad storms supposed to come mid afternoon through the evening. So I need to get out and make sure nothing is left out that can blow over and break. The plants indoors look like they could use a drink

Good morning all. The weather radar shows us to be in the big middle of nothing weatherwise, it's all around us but miles and miles away and what could be heading towards us is falling apart as you watch the radar. We did get 1/4th of an inch late last night.

We are going gift shopping today, fewer bills out of this payday and we certainly do not want to be anywhere near stores next weekend when the horde hits.

Good morning! Cloudy with rain showers here. Nothing major yet. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and also Monday. Vacation starts Monday so I like the sunny forecast.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 4°C and overcast with showers. It's very quiet outside today. Found out last night that my husbands company went into receivership. No sure exactly what this means at this point, but he was called and asked to report to work Monday at 9am. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is all resolved and he still has a job. Laundry and housework to do today.

Good morning! It rained off and on all night. Now, the sun is shining. It is supposed to shine tomorrow too so we won't have to start our vacation in a rainstorm. We have had about two inches of rain the last couple of days.
