Happy Thursday morning and happy New Year!
I stayed home, as usual, last night. My cousin had a party, but it was just a little too cold and windy for me. Fire pit or not. So I snuggled up with a blanket and movie instead.
Today is gonna be another indoors day. Temps will remain in the 40s, drizzly and windy.
I'll be taking down the decorations today too.

We are in a hotel for the holiday, didn't even stay awake till 10:30 last night  today is cold and rainy, yea!!!!!! But this hotel doesn't have HGTV so it's a UFO or NCIS marathon this afternoon  I also have gardening magazines, paper and pencil to keep me busy while hubby naps the afternoon away.

We will be back home tomorrow afternoon.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -8°c and overcast with light snow falling. Today the Christmas tree comes down! The room will feel so much bigger again once it is gone and I can put the furniture back. Also a trip to the bank today, and some cleanup. Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -8°C and overcast. I am up early and off to a new place with my son this morning. He has to do a level C CPR course and this is the only place he can do it. Weatherman says a snow storm will be blowing in this afternoon, I hope it waits until we get home. Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. Another day stuck inside because of rain. I miss the sun! Tomorrow is my last day of vacation and I wasn't able to do any of the projects I wanted to do. Too wet. Too windy. Too cold.
Oh well, at least I have a lot to look forward to.

Good morning all. Almost forgot what thunder and lightning were like until late last night. It has been lightly raining since late Wednesday evening, heavy sprinkles all day Thurs and Friday, then thunderstorms last night. We have not had a rainy spell like that in months!! My rain gauge had 1.675 inches of rain in it this morning when I emptied it. Still overcast but is supposed to be sunny later in the afternoon, then a cold front moves through and tomorrow probably won't be out of the 30's. But the rain chances are nil so we are back into the regular weather pattern except for we are having actual winter temperatures for a while.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 0°C and still dark. The ground is very icy from yesterdays snow/rain even that almost had me trapped in a strange town. Made it home last night after a horrible sloppy drive. I do hope the plows have been out on the main roads as they have NOT been out here. Off to day 2 of my sons CPR course an hour away from home, but at least today my only friend in that town will be home to catch up with. Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. I see sunshine! Some clouds remain, but I see lots of blue! Temps hovering around the 50F mark. And breezy. It would be actually nice out except for that breeze, but I'm so happy to see the sun finally that I'm still going to bundle up and at least get out of the house even if it's just for a soggy walk around the yard. And to fill up the bird feeders.
I did venture out to check the rain gauge, just under 2 inches from Friday and Saturday.
Then it's back to work on Monday. Gonna have a hard time getting up in the morning!

Good nippy morning all. Sun is shining....for anyone who wants this sunshine please send a self-addressed stamped postal priority box and they can have all I can stuff inside it.....29 deg (-1C) but feels like 18 (-8C) so the birds were gorging themselves on the suet blocks and at the feeders this morning. I don't know where they go but they are usually here around 9 a.m. then gone for most of the day. And there are dozens of Red-wings, Starlings and Sparrows of all sorts. Oops, just looked out and the birds are back and this time they brought more friends.

We usually go out to breakfast on Sunday mornings but it's way too cold to venture out so in a little while Randy will make the cat delirious by cooking some eggs and bacon for us. Spooky loves bacon, his eyes get wide with excitement and he makes the cutest pleading sounds. And of course we give him his own slice....not spoiling him just being good servants.

Toni, it's too cold for you to go out? This from the lady who loves chilly weather.
It's 38 degrees here and windy. The hens are staying inside and hopefully laying eggs. The cat is on her footstool in the sunny spot in the living room, and I'm contemplating making a big pot of soup. Lordy, I hope it warms up soon!

I do get cold but I still love cold weather. Cold invigorates me and gives me hope.....hot weather just sucks the life right out of every inch of my being.

Toni, my cat does the same thing when I make pork chops on the BBQ ... she goes crazy for it! I am glad to hear I'm not the only one with a pork loving cat!

Good morning all! We've had a slightly milder period for the last few days so not complaining. The birds are really enjoying the feeders these days also.
We are taking care of a newborn lamb in our home for the second time this year :) I can hear him bleating downstairs right now.

    Enjoy your Monday all!

Good Monday morning all. Currently -15°C feeling like -25°C with the wind chill. We are in the middle of a snow squall at this moment and they will be passing all day. This wouldn't normally bother me as I would just stay home, but I have to get my son back to school today. I will be planning this trip very carefully! Have a safe day all :)

Happy Monday morning. And back to work. Sure was hard getting out of my nice warm bed this morning! But it was time... I was beginning to go stir crazy after 2 weeks practically stuck inside.
Temps this morning were right around the freezing mark, but that wind made it feel so much colder. And the next few days will all be flirting with temps in the 20s, so the lights will one in the winterhouse the new few nights.
Today looks like it will be mostly sunny with highs trying to reach the 50 degree mark.
