Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -9°C and overcast. I think we are expecting snow today ... I stopped listening to the weatherman, but it just looks like it's going to snow.
I might go ice skating today, just to make sure I can still do it. My daughters club needs a couple of parent volunteers this weekend and I think I was voluntold. haha
Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Had to scrape ice off the windshield this morning. It wasn't super thick, but ice is ice. But the sun is out and warming everything nicely... we should reach a high in the low 60s. Then back down to freezing overnight.
Going to leave work a little early and stop and pick up fish dinners for me and my Godmother. I missed visiting her on her birthday and this is my way of trying to make up for it. :smt054

Good morning all. Another chilly day but Friday and Saturday will be in the 70's so I can get some more mulch and work on the back yard again.

Last night we got our 35th Anniversary trip planned and reservations made for the end of May. We are going to the McDonald Observatory in Ft. Davis, Texas for https://mcdonaldobservatory.org/visitors/programs/star-parties. Long drive but we are going to break it up into two days each way, a couple of days there and stop over in Abilene for a day or so on the way back. I am so excited.!!!!

Toni, we have been to the observatory for a star-party and it's so much fun! The telescope is amazing, and the whole observatory is incredible. While you are there you might like to visit the old fort--interesting. Your anniversary trip sounds marvelous--take your camera, take notes, and report back!
Today I burned off the brush I'd collected in the garden, did laundry, and tried to convince the chickens that they really need to step up their egg production.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently sunny an -19°C with a windchill feeling like -31°C. It was a COLD dog walk this morning ... the wind bites! A few more days of bitter cold ahead and then hopefully a warming trend. Off to do my errands and shopping. Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. We had another freeze this morning... ice on the windshield again, but not as thick as yesterday. And we'll be warming up to the mid 60s again with clear blue skies. Warming up for a few days and back to freezing by Tuesday. Hope this is the last of our winter weather... I'm getting the itch to go plant shopping!

Good Day all! I feel for all who are posting those minus temperatures and snow and ice reports! We've had a quite balmy winter starting with below normal temps and now above normal. Very little snow which is not good for our water table. I've been away too long and am now trying to figure out this new fangled upgrading they've done on the website. Looks good!

Good Friday morning all. Currently -27°C and sunny. Seems to me I am usually getting VERY tired of winter by this time each year. February is the shortest month, but has the most brutal of weather. This year is no different ... I am ready for spring already! I was out doing some shopping yesterday and noticed that some places are putting out their SEEDS, and that is a promising sign that spring may actually be on its way. I'm doing some clean up this morning, and then picking up my son this afternoon for 10 days at home ! Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. It's warmer today with temps from 60-70F but cloudy. Slight chance of rain this afternoon.
Looking forward to the weekend so I can start cleaning up the back flower beds. Gotta make sure they are ready when it's time for plant-shopping!:stew2:

Good morning all. Spooky woke me at 8:30 this morning wanting to sit on our window sill and look out on the backyard. He jumped up there and felt the fan blowing on him and 'high tailed' it out of the room.....weird cat....plus I was then not able to go back to sleep.

It's a little misty but going into the 60's today, tomorrow it should reach 70 before another front moves through dropping the temps down into the 30's and possibly bringing some freezing rain Sunday night into Monday.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just -11°C and snowing. I don't even care about the snow falling today ... it is SO nice to have somewhat milder temperatures! DH has been bored this week and is doing some painting around the house ... I'm heading to skating to get out of his way :setc_040: Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Well, it appears that Winter has finally decided to pay me a visit. The cold front that was to come through this afternoon, got a move on and came in early this morning. Starting tomorrow night we should be having sleet and freezing rain .... sleet will make for slippery streets, freezing rain can bring down power lines....let's hope for just sleet. And it is supposed to last until sometime Tuesday.

Wow, I just noticed this thread and it seems I m over a thousand pages behind..... Oh well I'll just dive in by saying I wish you and yours a most blessed day. It's 74F with a 20mph wind out of the south. I went out this AM to snag some grapefruit for this mornings juice and wound up chasing my hat across the yard.

We didn't get rain and ice last night but we got 6.8 inches of snow or so the weatherman says. It got up to 36 and was sunny so some has already melted. It is to be very cold the next three days but no more snow.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -9°C and overcast with light snow. It's a very pretty morning outside, and I think Capt Kirk may have shed some light on that is his 'Frozen Fog' thread. I must have been dreaming about my gardens last night as I woke up thinking about seeds, canning and making Black Current jam! I have some currents in the freezer from last years garden so I might just make something with black currents today! Have a great day all :)
