Happy Sunday everyone! A lazy day today--it's overcast and the temperature is dropping, so I'll just play with my seedlings, bake a bit, and perhaps make a hunter's stew for dinner.

Good morning all. The weather radar shows a large patch of storms heading through north Texas...moving north of me and one smaller patch moving south of me and a large clear area heading right for me......again.

If it gets cold enough I think I will make a large pot of New England style Clam Chowder.

It's 70few degrees and muggy damp today. Peggy went to a bridal shower a couple hours away so I am piddling doing some house work and going out every once and a while for a breath of damp air and wack up some fire wood for when it ever dries up again down here in te soggy south. May God bless you and yours today and keep you safe and happy.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -24°C feeling like -33°C with the wind chill. Today is the coldest February 23rd in Ontario history, breaking the record set in 1972 of -19.4°C. I am tired of these cold temperatures!! Baking, cleaning, laundry today, skating tonight. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. The weekend was okay weatherwise. Saturday was kinda drizzly but Sunday was nice for most of the day. I did pull a few weeds, pick up downed twigs, branches from around the property. Just basically goofed off until the front moved in late afternoon bringing winds and a little rain.
Today started off in the low 40s and we should be in the 30s this afternoon with a good chance of rain. And cold and near freezing practically every morning this week.

Good cold morning all. 28 deg F/-2degC this morning and probably not getting much warmer until tomorrow. The rain clouds did finally join hands and come my way and left 1.75 inches of new rain in the gauge and this morning an additional .5 inch of sleet in there as well. The pan of chunky peanut butter/wild birdseed mixture is the most popular item on the bird menu this morning, time to get more made.

The temp dropped 30 degrees today causing me to bust out a flannel shirt now its only a rainy 47. We are plotting our small 12x4 suqare foot style garden bed and shoring up our other small beds with plants feed and possibly some mulch or a bale of hey aint decided yet. A trip to lowes is in the works for tomorrow so I am maniacally rubbing my hands together figuring how to bend the garden rules again this year.:snicker:

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -16°C feeling like -27°C with overcast skies and strong SW winds. Usually when the wind comes from the south it brings WARM air, but not this time. I guess that's because the weather south of here is cold too! We broke another cold record here this morning, second day in a row. I hope we stop doing that! I guess it is a good day to stay in and work on my tax return. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. All of that freezing precipitation stayed north of us, but we did get down to freezing overnight. But no icy bridges. Just for the heck of it, I counted the number of bridges I cross between home and work. It was 9 plus an overpass. The longest is the one across Lake Houston and the next largest is over the Trinity River. The rest are little ones crossing creeks or over the river bottom area of the Trinity... about 5 bridges in 5 miles. So if we ever get icy road conditions, guess who either goes into work late or stays home altogether?

Good morning all. Still ice on the ground but the temp will rise into the 40's for the afternoon so it will slowly melt away. Only to possibly be replaced by snow tomorrow morning....and again on Friday. With all the peanut butter and seed mix the birds have eaten the last couple of days they should be fat and warm for a while.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -15°C , snowing and blowing. Again. We had another load of heating oil delivered yesterday so we should be good for the rest of the year, even with the hot water tank running all year. Winter is getting very 'Old' to me. I want to be outside, cleaning the yard and flower beds, topdressing my gardens and sitting in the sunshine! Broke my vacuum yesterday so hopefully DH can fix it today. Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning! Today is the "day after" a big concert that went well. I played piano for 6 choirs, and they performed well. Getting the taxes done today, not looking forward to that, especially since it's supposed to snow for the commute there.

Happy Wednesday morning. We didn't get down to freezing, thankfully, but did wake up to drizzly yucky weather. But it's supposed to clear off this afternoon and allow the temps to make it into the 50s.

Good morning all. Mother Nature played a big joke on the weather prognosticators around here last night. They were all, including the NWS, hyping snow overnight, maybe up to 6" in many areas. Granted it was to be a wet snow since the temps would be just barely under freezing but snow none the less. As it turned out it stayed a couple of degrees above freezing so we got a drizzle and the good stuff shifted south of us.

So instead of watching the beautiful white stuff fall on the garden I guess I'll get some laundry done. I really had higher hopes for what I would be doing this morning.o_O
