Toni, we got your snow--I'll happily pack it up and send it to you. We started with itty-bitty bits of hail, and then it turned to the flaky stuff. This is not the weather I expected from Texas!

At least it's melting now and I don't have to look out at a frozen tundra.

We had a little more sleet too, (itty-bitty bits of hail) and very few flakes of snow. I found them on the top of the truck just seconds before they melted.

Having lived here almost all my life, the weather in Texas never surprises me. My yard had 4+ inches of snow on the first weekend of March, 1989 . But then I am a little over 2 hours north of you.

Good morning everyone. We finally have a sunny day, very cold though. We had another six inches of snow yesterday so after awhile I need to go and clean off the deck again. I just heard on the radio that our area has had eleven and a half feet of snow so far this year. Twice the normal amount. The bird feeder is completely buried in snow so I have been hanging seed blocks on a spruce tree for them. I have to shovel a path to the tree as well. Well, off to clean the kitchen before I head out to feed the birdies. Have a great day!:like:

Happy Thursday morning. Near freezing temps again overnight but the clouds seem to be leaving and hopefully we'll warm up to the mid 50s today. I checked the rain gauge yesterday and with the little bit of drizzle we've been having over the last few days I was surprised to find 1/4 inch of the wet stuff.
Tomorrow is supposed to be cold all day (not expected to reach the 50s) and it's my day off, so guess who's going to be snuggled up in bed late? And stuck in the house all day?

Again I was promised some snow flurries this morning but did that happen??? No.
Oh, yeah, Good morning all. Didn't even get any rain either.

I think I will spend some time with the long dead today....I have been neglecting researching ancestors and I think they are beginning to miss me digging into their business.

We had a lovely sunny day here in Northumberland, UK. Spent some time up in the Scottish border towns of Berwick, Coldstream and Kelso before heading back home via Wooler. Took in a few garden centres though couldn't buy anything as I'm broke until pay day tomorrow...it was just nice to get out for a few hours and spend time together away from work, family and loopy neighbours! :p Saw the first Coltsfoot flower of the year at Wooler too so that was nice :like: Spring cannot be far off now!

Good Friday morning all. Currently -24°C and sunny. I have nothing good to say about today's temperatures, which are still WAY below normal. The sun is shining though, and that helps, and my gardens are covered with a thick layer of snow. My only worry about that is that mice/voles may be thriving under there and feeding on my plants. I had a request today to make more honey oat buns ... new recipe I tried the other days and they turned out great! Also home made pizza for dinner so I think I'm going to be in the kitchen a lot today. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. I have the day off work, but it's too cold to be doing anything outside (around 42F). So I have a ton of stuff to get done inside. My high school is having an all-inclusive reunion on July 4th (everyone who ever attended are invited). And I'm in charge of notifying my class all 40 of us. I have almost everyone's contact info, just needing to update my list and get to it. And I've got all sorts of other little projects on the computer that I need to finish. So this turned out to be a good day to do all this stuff. Hopefully the weekend will be a little nicer... I still need to clean up some flower beds and feed those daylilies.

Gooooood morning all. My gardens are covered with about an inch of beautiful white fluffy stuff that fell from the clouds in the sky....in other words the Snow gods like me.!!!!! Might get a bit more before it moves away to the north. But tonight and tomorrow there will be a good layer of ICE on top of the snow, not supposed to get above freezing until sometime tomorrow afternoon.
We went to the store for a few things and the suppliers were frantically trying to get the basics restocked before people working today get off and show up in droves.

    Very happy for you Toni!

Good afternoon all :flower: Weather is starting to slowly get warmer here. Quite happy about that. I've been glued to the computer all week so today it's time to relax and socialise with friends. :nerdy: [square eyes].
    Have a top Saturday all!

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -19°C and sunny. This is the last day of the coldest February I can remember, and then the weather looks a little warmer (Thank goodness!) Off to skating this morning, and then a birthday celebration this afternoon. Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. Overcast with a slight chance of rain today. Temps from lower 40s to mid50s. Don't think I'll get too much done outside, but I know I've got to get out of this house for awhile.

Good morning all. 28 deg now, had a reading of 26 a few hours earlier. Temp should be above freezing by around noon then the moisture predicted will be all rain....if anything. But for now the snow lies gorgeous on the yard and the birds are letting me know that they do not appreciate anything less than filled to overflowing feeders.

Good morning all, just barely above freezing but we had a light rain overnight so it beat down the nice fluffy snow and started it melting. :crying:
Got rain in the forecast for the next 3 days and a wintry mix coming again on Wednesday. Once Winter got here it apparently wants to hold on for a while, no problem for me! I really hate the sound of snow melting and dripping off the roof.:(
