Good morning all. Had a smidgen of rain again yesterday, I thought it was to be sunny but guess I misunderstood the weather guy. Oh, well, had a safe trip and enjoyable visit with Randy's parents yesterday....our niece lives with them, she has her good moments but most of the time we get to razz her about something....good naturedly of course. :scheming:

Home last night to a very, lonely and meepy cat. But a few hours on lap time and he gets happy again.
Randy has gone to a HAM radio 'thing', I have laundry and sorting of garden ideas and seeds to do so it will be a quiet indoor day for me too.

While being walked by the dog this morning I noticed our yard finally drying up after almost a foot of rain last week. it is starting to firm up as the sponge that is our ST Augustine dries. The plan is to mow tomorrow and garden Tuesday cause its posed to rain Wednesday. Hope the plan works. God bless yall and have a great Sunday.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -2°C and clear. Looks like the sunshine will be back today (thanks Cherylad, hope you enjoyed it this weekend ;) ) March break begins and so I need to keep my daughter amused. She has already decided that she wants to go shopping today, and so we will probably start with Target clearance sales. Skating tonight as well ... carnival practice. It's going to be a great week :)

Good morning all. Spring break here was last week so the streets and stores will be much quieter now. At least for another two weeks or so until the city starts tearing up our street and several others to make them all new. Haven't done that in the 28 years we have lived so they are in pretty bad shape, I just hate the thought of 15+ months of noise and dust and inconvenience and we might lose the two old, large Crepe Myrtles out front. They just recently finished 12 months of tearing out the alleys, replacing sewer lines and pouring concrete for new alleys.

We are going out to a free dinner tonight and get information on pre-paid funerals.....hey, it's a free meal at least.

Happy Happy Happy Monday! I had a great weekend. On Friday, I went to lunch and then plant shopping with my sis-in-law and 3 friends. The weather wasn't super great... was kind of drizzly all morning, but at least the rain stayed away while we shopped. Super great burger place and spent way too much on plants. But what the heck...I deserve it! :)
Saturday was nice. No rain and temps in the 70s. I got some beds cleaned, mulched and planted a few new things. Sunday was GORGEOUS with nothing but sunshine and temps nearly reaching 80F. I found myself wandering around from task to task. I have so much to do that I would start one thing, see something else that I attended to, forgot what I was doing in the first place. This went on for most of the day. :) It even dried up enough that I was finally able to get the mowing done... and most of the weed-eating/edging. Then I just sat back and enjoyed the sunshine.
Back to work today but it's all good. Just purchased 2 tickets to see my favorite musician, Eric Clapton, in New York City! Flights and hotel booked (first weekend in May). I'm so excited!:stew2:

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -1°C and a blizzard outside. I do hope the recycling truck comes before the wind blows the blue boxes away! No plans this morning ... my girls are still sleeping and the weather is horrible. I predict a lazy day.

Happy Tuesday morning. A little foggy out this morning, but should be a nice day. Slight chance of rain with temps in the 70s. I keep hearing the nurseries calling my name, but I must resist for a little longer.:whistling:

I finally got the grass cut and it was a hot sweaty job humidity was over 80% as things continued to dry up. I was thrilled to see spring springing. Garpe vines budding fig tree leafing and suck.

Good morning everyone. I am lost in the snowbanks here in NB. We had a blizzard over Saturday and Sunday. Another one yesterday and it is still snowing. I have lost count of how many feet of snow has fallen in our area. I don't think I will see any green until June. :( Starting my onion seeds in a couple of weeks anyway in hopes that there will be a planting season this year. :fingerscrossed: Starting the seeds this early as in past experience onions grown from seed take about 5 months to maturity.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -6°C and sunny. The wind has died down and it looks like a decent day ahead. Yesterday's winds and blizzards did not leave any new snow or damage, but I did have to clean up after the (sloppy)recycling truck was here. By the time I picked up what was dropped I had half a blue box full! Not sure what to do today ... might go for a free skate this afternoon. But first a group clean up in the house! Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. A foggy drizzly start to the day with slight rain chances all day. Temps in the mid 70s. I was looking forward to the weekend until I saw the forecast... 80% chance of rain on Saturday and some more on Sunday. At this rate I'll never get my mulch laid!

Good morning all. Drippy outside this morning, but not very cool like they promised though. There is rain in the north central Texas area but none heading my way, oh well, we have had the wettest March since 2012....not really saying much but the underground water table is much higher than it's been in years.

I think the rest of this week will be 'gathering supplies' time. Supposed to be cooler and wet until next Sunday and then the outdoor work has to really begin. My to-do list is soooooo long and maybe 2 months to get it all done.

It's raining again! I never thought I'd complain about rain in Texas, but really, enough is enough. We got carrots and the rest of the onions in yesterday, so the rain will help those. Our seedlings went out to the barn lot on sawhorses and boards--the hardening off process has begun.
Today is kitchen day--a custard pie in the oven and bread rising.
My to-do list is long also, Toni. Think we'll get it all done, or will the list just grow?

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -9°C and sunny. It's a little colder then it has been and so all the puddles are frozen solid again. I'm off to do some errands and shopping today. I want to get some soil so I can start potting up some Dahlia's and bulbs. I'm itching to get out into the gardens, so that should get a little dirt under my nails! The big melt down continues! Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. Warming up to nearly 80F today but the rains are on their way back. Just a slight chance this afternoon but the next couple of days are supposed to be wash-outs. We really don't need any more rain at the moment, that river is already leaking out of it's banks.
