Good afternoon everyone. Sunny but very cold and windy today. We had another two feet of snow . I did a little shoveling but it is so heavy I can only do a little at a time. More snow coming again on Saturday. Now that is something to look forward to isn't it! When will this ever end! :frustrated:
Off to get supper ready. Have a great evening all.

Wow Chrisle, you are really getting slammed with snow this year! I hope it ends for you soon!
Good Morning all, currently -1°C and clear. It is going to be a lovely day today! I am off to help with skating costumes this morning, and the to pick up my son from school for the weekend. I hope I get to enjoy at least a little bit of the sunny day!
Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. Another foggy misty commute. Rain chances going up this afternoon and can pretty much count on rain most of Saturday. I am not thrilled about the thought of being stuck in the house when I have so much to do outdoors. I'm not even looking forward to the weekend (well maybe just a little). :stew2:

Good morning all.....and a very good morning it is. We are getting rain, getting heavier as I type and it sounds wonderful.

We are going junquing tomorrow. Haven't been in a while, got a hotel room waiting for us for tomorrow night and we will be home sometime Sunday.
I don't really NEED anything in particular, but then what the heck does NEED have to do with it. :D We are going back to an area we went to early last year....hmmmmm, I wonder if that one place still has the yellow Volkswagen door...just might have to come home with that. :scheming:

Good misty, drizzly morning to you all! I managed to get the potatoes planted before the drizzle started. I thought Texas was dry? Maybe they were referring to the "dry" counties that ban liquor sales!
I have a chicken marinating in an herb marinade, and cut a goodly amount of asparagus (more than four spears, Toni!) so that's what we are having for dinner tonight.
This afternoon I may be reduced to cleaning house.:crying:

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 2°C and raining. Temperatures are going to plummet this evening, sending us back into the deep freeze for a few days. Suddenly I am very happy that the snow is taking so long to melt off the gardens! Indoor jobs today, and some baking. Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday afternoon. It's been raining all day and no signs of stopping. It's not a hard rain, but steady. I can usually guess about how much rain we've gotten by the amount of standing water in certain locations, but since the ground is totally saturated I haven't a clue! And I'm not about to slosh out to the rain gauge to check. LOL
Have been using this time to contact classmates about an upcoming reunion. Now I think it's time to watch a movie... or 3 or 4.

Here we are after two very long days of traveling back in Wisconsin. We got our truck unloaded at the apartment today but not really settled. We will be at our sons for a few more days until we can get things straightened and put away and do a bit of shopping. It's a very nice ground level apartment looking out over a bit of lawn and a wooded area. There will be birds but I'm not sure they'll let us put up bird feeders. We'll ask after we are settled.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -13°C and sunny. We did get a few cm's of snow last night, but I expect it will melt as soon as the sun shines on it. I'm feeling a lazy day ahead ... 2 gardening magazines to read and lots of logs for the fire. Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. It rained all day yesterday, literally. From wee hours of the morning until late in the evening. 5 inches fell here. The pasture looks like a lake and I swear my neighbors horses have on hip-waders today! o_O
Only redeeming thing about it was that temps were nice in the high 60s, so I had the doors and windows open to enjoy the fresh air.
Today, it's still cloudy but the rain chances are much less. Hopefully no more rain, there's a get-together scheduled at the DUCK farm for this afternoon.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -14°C and sunny. Well, March break is over and my daughter is back to school. We didn't really do anything out of the ordinary while she was home, but I sure liked having her home. My son goes back to school today too, and so it is my signal that it's almost time for ME to get back to work as well. In a few weeks I will be back to work and too busy for much else, so tomorrow begins the spring cleanup. Today we shop and take my son home, and then 4 hours of skating tonight. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning and back to work. I actually planted a couple of chili peppers yesterday. I have 3 huge containers that I'm going to use this year instead of putting them in the ground. right now they'd drown!
Today looks like it will be a nice day... mostly sunny and temps in the 80s.

Good morning all. We had a successful junquing trip over the weekend, I just posted photos of the good stuff ... http://www.gardenstew.com/threads/oh-a-shopping-we-did-go.35125/

A really nice weekend, a little rain, heavy cloud cover that kept the sun at bay, then the sun came out on our way home to blind us repeatedly with it's extreme shininess.

I might get out in the backyard to do more cleaning up and find a place for my new wheelbarrow planter.

Here's hoping everyone is having a good Monday. It rained a little here today. Now it has warmed up and the clouds are gone.
