This morning I got the apple and pear trees pruned and fertilized, then side-dressed the green beans in the vegetable garden. One of our rain catching cubes slipped off its foundation, so I emptied as much water as I could and we are going to just leave it leaning until we can draw off enough water so it's light weight enough to jack it up and get it back on its foundation.
Laundry on the line to bring in. Hope everyone has a sunny and happy day!

Sunny and warm today but very windy. Hope the wind isn't so brisk tomorrow. Rode the bus around today looking and making notes on where things are located. Hope I can read my writing. It was a little bumpy riding and trying to write, too.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 4°C and sunny. I had hoped to get out to the garden this morning, but I now have a meeting with my employer to discuss this years gardens. After that I have to stop and buy DH some new work pants, and I MAY just be stopping at my favorite greenhouse on the way home. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. Well, another 1.5 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. 60% chance today... more expected throughout the week. I really really feel like a duck!
Temps are nice though from 60 to lower 80s.

Hope everyone is having a good day today. It's cold here today. We might get some snow. Yuck. I am soooo ready for warm temps at night. I'll have to cover plants tonight and tomorrow night. Bummer. I'm going fabric shopping with my neighbor today. She is such a sweet old lady.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently only 2°C and sunny. I had a productive meeting with my boss yesterday, and so back to work Monday I will go! That leaves me a lot to do around the house in the next few days! Hope to prep the veggie beds today, but I think it might be too wet. We shall see what I am able to accomplish out there today ... probably more raking. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Another inch of rain yesterday. Today there's only a slight chance for that stuff but tomorrow and Friday they are predicting heavy rains and winds. But the weekend is looking like it should be okay. Don't know how much I can do out there with it so wet.... now where are my hip-waders?:smt087

Good morning all. No rain here yesterday or today but it returns tomorrow for three days then two of dry and warmish. I have got to start digging up the pecan trees that are coming up in the north beds. They weren't edible but they have had no problem sprouting everywhere they landed.

Got my drivers license renewed yesterday, had to go in for the eye test and new photo. The guy wouldn't use the photo of Julia Roberts I had with me to put on it so there is a horrid photo of some old woman that will be on mine for the next 6 years. I HATE having my photo taken. Some comedian once said that if anyone looks like either their drivers license or passport photo they should see a doctor immediately.

Happy Thursday morning. Yippee! No rain yesterday. But there is a 70% chance today and 80% tomorrow.
I noticed a few things out in the beds that look like they are drowning. Glad I put my peppers in big containers this year.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 9°C and foggy. I heard the rain overnight and cursed myself for not getting my rain barrels out yet! Another job to add to my list for the weekend. Today will be a busy day too ... oil change at 8am and then off to move my son home from college for the summer. He's keeping his apartment at school so it shouldn't be too bad of a move. Have a great day all :)

    Happy Friday morning. quack quack!
5+ inches of rain yesterday. Wonder if I need to get a bigger rain gauge? This one keeps overflowing.
80% chance of more rain this evening.

So that's where the rain went yesterday  I was looking forward to some late in the afternoon/early evening but then saw the radar on TV and there was a huge orange and red blob right over you.

Good morning all. Not doing much today, I lifted too many barges and toted too many bales yesterday and my legs hurt. But tomorrow is prom night at grandson's school, he got invited by a gal he has been friends with for many years (her date baled on her at the last minute) so now he needs decent clothes....Gramma and Grampa to the shopping rescue tonight. We had him looking really sharp for the 8th grade dance last year but he has had a really good growth spurt this year and not much fits anymore.
