Happy Tuesday morning. I am so tired of this dreary weather!! Where's the sun??? Ugggh.
At least we didn't get alot of rain at the house, unlike at work where it poured a few times, even had some hail.
Kinda drizzly this morning with rain chances for the next few days.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 6°C feeling more like 3°C and overcast with winds. I am so glad I didn't plant my tomatoes on the weekend as there is a frost warning tonight! I am wondering what I can do to protect my newest apple trees that are in bloom. Off to work with an extra couple of layers on. My back gardens are in serious need of weeding, but I probably wont have a chance until the weekend. Have a great day all :)

Good afternoon all. We have gotten no rain since Sunday morning but it is very overcast and comfy cool. My Asiatic Lily buds are about to burst open, just hope they put on their show before we leave on our Anniversary trip next Thurs.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently just 1°C and clear. There is frost starting to settle! Off to work where garden prep continues. I should be able to start planting next week. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. About 5/8ths of an inch of rain fell yesterday afternoon but it was a fast moving line of storms and didn't hang around long enough to give us more, some areas weren't so lucky though. This rain pattern we are in is supposed to last through the rest of the month and I certainly hope so. We are leaving on our Anniversary trip a week from today and I would love for this to be a year when I don't have to worry about my garden dying of thirst while I am gone 5 days like in previous years.
The sad thing is I think all my Asiatic Lilies will be in full bloom while we are away and I will most likely miss them. :(

Good Friday morning all. Currently 9°C and overcast. We had frost yesterday! The temperatures are on the rise, and it is time to start planting. I am going to have a busy day today and I couldn't be happier that it is almost the weekend ... I am EXHAUSTED! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. It is soooo strange to say this after all the years of drought but the ground is still too soggy to work out in the garden. NOT complaining!! It has started raining again, wow another 5 words I don't get to say much o_O

I'm glad you are getting some much needed rain Toni.
Good Saturday morning all. Currently 12°C and very wet out there ... must have had rain last night. Up bright and early to head out to the soccer fields to paint lines, clean the snack bar, meet with coaches etc It's going to be a very long day for me knowing all the work I have to do back at home! One of my Hummingbird feeders is missing this morning, and upon checking the trail camera it seems a raccoon is the culprit. I wonder where I will find it? Seems to be an over abundance of raccoons around here this year, probably due to the empty barn and other buildings across the street. They are seen out grazing in the corn fields in the middle of the day! Have a great day everyone :)

Good morning all. Sun was trying to peek out between the clouds this morning. Not much chance of rain today, the radar is completely clear in my part of the state. I think today will be a lazy day, some good programs on PBS that I like....Growing a Greener World, Daytripper and Texas Parks and Wildlife.....think I will sit, knit and veg out. I am trying not to work in the garden too much for the next few days, we leave on our anniversary trip on Thursday and I don't want a lot of sore muscles when I sit in the truck for the trip.

I finally got to mow! Who would have thought I'd look forward to mowing the backyard and piling grass clippings in the garden cart. The rain has held off and the grass was moderately dry, so I couldn't waste the opportunity. The rest of the day will be lazy--maybe a chicken on the grill with some squash from the garden, and then watching a DVD movie tonight.

Rain was predicted here this morning and it was cloudy. No rain and the sun is shining now. But, it says severe thunderstorms for tomorrow afternoon. The forecast comes from Greenbay and that's quite a ways north of us and closer to the water. We only have Lake Winnebago and it does affect weather but not rain, I think. Anyway, we were out and about today and didn't get rained on at all. No garden but my herbs are really growing. I'll have to start pinching them back and drying the leaves. Now, where will I put them to dry?

Dooley, so good to hear from you! You herbs could dry on a screen, or in the oven set at about 2oo degrees.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 16°C and sunny. Things are really starting to 'green up' out there! I was supposed to go to work today, but now I don't have to so I am super happy to have more time to spend in my garden! I found the missing Hummingbird feeder across the yard this morning, so I guess I had better find another place to put it. A bit of house work and then I am headed to the garden center :)
