Morning all. Almost 10 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday, clouds are moving away-darn that means the sun is out :'( but only going into the mid-40's today. Might have a wintry mix in the morning.....but probably won't.

Hard to believe that in less than 2 days January will be over and Feb will begin. I have figured out why the months I love, which are the cold ones go by quicker than the long hot summer months. Cold makes things contract and even tho there are still 24 hours in each day of winter months, they have been contracted by the cold and therefore they go by quicker.
Conversly, since heat makes things expand, the 24 hours in each day of the hot summer months have expanded therefore meaning they take longer to go by.

Good morning! The thermometer says it's 40F. The sun isn't on it this morning but it sure feels colder. I think I'll add another sweater. Clouds and rain predicted for today, tomorrow and Thursday. Hope it's rain and not snow. Toni, dr was just saying yesterday that when he was a kid an month lasted a month, now it lasts a week. Where does the time go? Is there another dimension somewhere behind us that gets to enjoy it? Dooley

Oh, I just had a thought. Every seven years the calendar comes around to the same dates again. Maybe every seven years we get to do it again. Dooley

Good afternoon all. Currently sitting at -10 deg C. I spent the morning re-potting and giving my indoor plants some much needed TLC. Now I've got the plant bug bad...I NEED to start some seeds!! I think I'll go thru my seed stash.
    Have a great day all!

Hi all, I'm slow and grumbly today,
coming down with the cold that hubby imported last weekend. :scheming: grrrr
I need to get myself propped up so that I can get out and pick up something
to keep me up and going for the next few days.

I like the sound of that system restore idea, Bethie. ;)

Good Morning all. Got to get to the doc this morning for a blood test. Been working on all the good stuff and hope it shows. The dog knows I'm leaving and is giving me the "skunk eye."

Good Morning/afternoon everyone -- a COLD 13 here this morning. I do see the sun shining, but it's not suppose to get out of the 30's today. We have a winter weather advisory for tonight 9 pm til 6 am for some snow and sleet. Could be nasty in the morning but it's not suppose to last long (I hope). Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning all. It's sunny, but cold, here this morning. Evidently the rain of yesterday went away during the night.

Good Morning from a sunny cold day in Illinois. It is 10 with a high of 18. Not to bad for January I guess but I am looking for March when things start to moderate a bit. Wannabe

Morning all. It is sleeting at present, temp is 31 and going up so it won't last long. Should be nothing more than a cold rain this afternoon and maybe into tomorrow.
