Good soggy morning all. TS Bill is coming right across us this morning. We are not on the 'dirty side' as was first thought we would be, but directly under the center of what's left of Tropical Storm Bill. So far almost 2.5 inches in my rain gauge out front. That means I will be out pulling weeds tomorrow while they are pullable, which they haven't been in weeks.

According to radar Cheryl, you should be getting some of the heavy rain in his tail or you are in the gap between two sections.

Overnight we got 2" of rain, and another 1/2" as of noon today. Since I can't be outside playing, I'm bagging up cherry tomatoes and new potatoes for the food pantry. Tomorrow is to be wet also, so I may just have to break down and bake some bread:D!!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 15°C and clear. I had a busy day yesterday, and so it was a little tough getting up this morning. Today is going to be another busy day at work with edging to do, soil delivery and topdressing as well as helping to lay some sod. I am going to sleep well tonight! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Bright and sunny this morning, the humidty % and temperature are almost the same number, 77 for the first 75 for the second. After 3 inches of rain yesterday the weeds out back should be a lot easier to pull up, then I am going to spread some mulch so they have a more difficult time returning. hahahaha, I said a funny, a little mulch will maybe slow them down though.

Happy Thursday morning. 2.5 more inches of rain yesterday. Today... 50% chance of that dreaded stuff.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 14°C and overcast. There was a lovely cool breeze blowing in my window while I slept. I worked hard yesterday, and I am paying for it today with stiff muscles and a sore neck. I will try not to work too hard today, but there is so much to do! I am just thankful that today is Friday and I can rest tomorrow. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. Only a trace of rain yesterday. But there's still a 50% chance today. They say the weekend will be nice... I sure hope so. Come back sunshine... I need you!!!:stew2:

Good morning all. Our rain chances are down to almost zilch for the next week, the plants better make the most of the rain we got on Wednesday. I did get some weeding and planting done yesterday so that made me feel like I was on top of things but deep down inside I really know that was just a drop in the bucket compared to all that needs doing. Time to get more mulch and get that down before I can't work out there any more this month or summer.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 13°C and sunny. I had hoped to sleep in this morning, but it seems that my kids have plans for me today. One needs to be at work and the other is heading to a sleepover for a friends birthday. The only good part of this is that all this driving takes me right past a little Hosta nursery that I've been wanting to go to and I have some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket. It might just turn into a great day afterall :smt004

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 18°C and overcast, with rain in the forecast for today. I was up early again to get my son to work... So much for sleeping in! Spent some quality time in my garden yesterday, and hopefully there will be more of that today. Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. I had a lovely weekend, but now it's back to the weekday routine. I will be busy spreading the 16 yards of soil that was delivered last week, and finishing the planting of annuals. I hope we get the forecast rain tonight to water it all in. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Yippee... no rain in the last 3 days! Bip... I know how you're feeling... lack of sunshine is VERY depressing!
I did get the mowing done (except for the front of the pasture... still too wet out there.) I had to mow the 1/2 acre lot FOUR times to get it nice and even. And oh boy... all that grass to rake up. I think that was even harder than all the weed-eating! But, it's done! And my place looks decent again. I even managed to get the front flower beds weeded. And up-potted some stuff. Maybe the rain will stay away another couple of days so I can get the rest of that mowing done... the mosquitos are loving it out there (and no telling what else is lurking in all that tall grass)!

Good morning all. Overcast and possible rain later and as I typed this the cloud were skittering away before I could fuss at them for letting the sun through. Another rain storm east of Dallas that closed part of I-30 east of Dallas for about 6 hours yesterday.....my yard got zilch again.
