Good Sunday morning all. Currently 19°C and already hazy. It's going to be another hot one! Looks like a trip to the mall is in order today ... My youngest will celebrate a birthday on Thursday and we need to find her a gift. I think she will find many things she wants at the mall! I hope we wont be all day ... there is a lot of work left to do around the house. Have a great day all :)

Morning all. Got some fierce storms last night. Scared the s*** out of the younger dog. Poor state is flooded in a lot of areas, and we're expecting more rain!

This meme sums it up nicely :D

Good Monday morning all. Currently 16°C and still dark this morning. I am already noticing the difference in the morning and have had to change my routine slightly...The dogwalk is now the last thing I do before I leave for work. It's going to be a scorcher today and I will most likely be dragging hoses for a good part of the day. I hope the day goes quickly, I am too tired! Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. another busy weekend, mostly getting the mowing done. It just gets too hot to do anything in the middle of the day, so now it's taking me two days. But I got it all done!
And even had time to go to a family reunion on Saturday evening.
My cousin from New Mexico and two of his daughters stayed with me over the weekend. Nice to see them... nice to see them go! LOL
I'm still working on the plants for the upcoming sale... I'm combining alot just to make them look a little better. And with alot of sunshine lately, they are growing. Now I just need to make the time to get the info tags done... and see what Mrs. E will be contributing. Time is running out!

Good afternoon all. Spent yesterday getting photos of my new junque taken and my craft room ready for it's newest occupants....the gate leg table and an old chair for the spinning wheel. Supposed to hit 100+ today so no outside stuff for me. I have plenty to get done inside though, still have to set up the tabletop loom, dig out all the basket weaving supplies and get the spinning wheel cleansed and ready for use. Life is too short to keep on wondering if I will like doing those things, time to actually try my hand at them and find out!!!
The other evening at dinner with oldest daughter I mentioned that I was going to get busy with the loom and basket weaving.....they both looked at each other and the oldest said "You know that means we get baskets and placemats for Christmas this year." I was thinking about filling the baskets with homemade soap and candles but I just might change my mind now.

Picked a few more blue berries and frozen them. After that I wandered around the yard stopping eating raspberries along the way. Ended up with the Jose watering some pots.

Good morning all. Who needs a mechanical alarm clock when you have a cat who doesn't think you should sleep past 8 a.m. But since I only get to water before 10 a.m. he is being very helpful.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 10°C and clear. Much, MUCH cooler today thanks to an evening thunderstorm that rolled through here last night. This means no watering for me today, so a good day to get caught up on some weeding! Have ag reat day all :)

Good morning all. Just another hot one here and dry....if it wasn't for the high humidity we wouldn't have any moisture at all. Still just hovering around 99 degrees, the predicted 100+ temps haven't shown up yet.....thank goodness this is the one time this year the weather prognosticators have been wrong.!!

Got the spinning wheel in place and realized there is a broken part, easy to replace though just a hard rubber piece that holds the treadle assembly to the connecting rod that is connected to the wheel that makes the wheel go round and round when you work the treadle. Easy fix.
Started taking the loom out of it's bag and realized that the assembly instructions I had been keeping for the 30 years I have had it have gone missing. Hopefully there will be some easy ones to find on line.
Almost afraid to get out the basket weaving supplies and find something wrong there.
Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something.:worried:

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 9°C and clear. Getting darker each morning ... how depressing. Today my 'baby' celebrates her 12th birthday ... where does the time GO? Have a great day all :)

Good evening all! The warm weather continues here but in a few days I will be returning to a much cooler climate. Then I will probably curse how cold it is
    Have a great day all!

Good Friday morning all. Currently 10°C and cloudy. There is a strong breeze from the south east which usually brings rain. I am going to have to drag hoses until the rain comes ... the ground is completely dried out! Looking forward to starting my weekend! Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. Nothing but dry and hot here lately. And I'm not complaining. I'm actually using my new soaker hoses for the first time this year. What's the fun in having a new toy if you can't play with it?
    :chuckle:
I'm beginning to feel like I can breathe. The plant sale is in two weeks. I know which one's I'll be taking now, and their ID tags are all made. I won't know what Mrs. E will be bringing until just a few days ahead of time.
Now I just need to go in an pretty them up... take out dead or ugly leaves... and keep them sprayed to keep bugs off. I'm putting together a few cute baskets of houseplants, but I'm saving that for last. I just don't have the room in the house for them, so I'll let the stores tend to them for me!
And after that plant sale... I'm gonna go find me a beach to chill out on for a few days!
