    So happy for you Toni!
Good Friday morning all. Currently 11°C and cloudy. I'm getting an early start today as I have some indoor work to to and the darkness outside doesn't matter. It will be nice to get a head start to the weekend.
Finally got the door handle fixed on my car too, so it will be nice to be able to get out without opening the window! Highway robbery though ... almost $200 to fix a simple cable - which was only $21 itself.

Good morning all. Still very humid at 72% and the temp will be up to the mid-90's again this afternoon but right now the breeze is out of the northeast and has a very wonderful cool feel and the first nice cool front of the season will be moving through later today. Not Autumn yet but possibly the end of a most miserable summer. I feel life returning to my spirit with the hope of Autumn and better weather in the air.

Have errands to run this afternoon, more wood to finish the shelves in our bedroom, supplies for starting the garden re-do this weekend....maybe even some snapdragons to brighten up the front garden a bit.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 11°C and overcast. We had some unexpected rain over night and I couldn't be happier! Should be an interesting day ... they knocked down the 150+ year old barn across the street and I was granted access to the rubble. I am hoping to salvage enough wood to make a harvest table and a few other things. I also have some tomatoes to can, apples to pick and can, and carrots, beans and onions to harvest. Busy day ahead! Have a great day all :)

Good afternoon all! What a rainy day we had yesterday, the entire day. The land got a good watering that's for sure. Today is promised a bit of a respite but tomorrow it will pour again.
    Have a top Saturday all!

Good morning all. Nice and cool outside earlier, now almost 80 which is close to what the high will be. But the upper 90's will return this next week so getting excited about Autumn arriving was a bit premature :( and back to no rain in the foreseeable future. The 3 inches isn't going to last long in the ground.

We should get the bedroom shelves finished today and set up. Then we move the old chest of drawers into my room after taking out a smallish wire shelf system and I can get my room better organized and usable.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently just 9°C and raining. The rain is unexpected, but most welcomed. The ground was so dry and cracking and now it is soaking up the water and the sump pump is even running. I really needed a day of rain to keep me inside to do some much needed cleaning. We got enough wood to make a table or two from the barn ruins yesterday. Now to wait until Hubby has the time and space to build it. Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently 10°C and overcast. I dressed for work today in pants and a sweatshirt ... first time since spring I have had to dress so warm. Temperatures are back on the rise though, and I have also packed shorts. We had a good rain this weekend and so no watering today. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all! Yesterday we had an amazingly heavy shower for these parts - heaviest all year I think. I saw some photos of a public road completely washed away by the sheer amount of water. We were working in the farm yard and it was pretty 'floody' in just a matter of minutes. It's been a bad year for farmers overall.
Have a top Tuesday all :flower:

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 15°C and clear. It's going to be hot again today ... highs of 28°C expected, and with the humidity it will feel much warmer. Starting some garden cleanup today in the veggie patch at work ... some things are done and some things are so completely deer eaten there is no saving it. I have never seen such deer damage in all the years I have worked there! Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday everyone! Husband is off to get mulch for the fruit trees. We added compost around them this morning, so we can mulch the heck out of them now.
I'm making strawberry tarts while he is gone. If I make them while he is here, they disappear as soon as they are cooled enough to eat. I love him, but he is a tart animal!

Morning all. Just another hot and dry one here, the overnight temps are dropping but with the daytime high still getting into the 90+degF/32+degC that low temp doesn't stay around long. No rain to speak of for the rest of the month, only slight chances. Looks like we won't see the last of the 90's here until sometime in early October.

We finally found a very low-carb bread recipe that actually tastes good. He bakes it in english muffin rings so they come out as smallish burger buns, that makes them perfect for peanut butter and jelly, tuna salad and most importantly bacon sandwiches....or sliced and toasted with butter and rhubarb sauce.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 15°C and clear. I could hear the coyotes howling outside my open window this morning ... they sounded a little close for comfort! Thanks to the shorter days, I am now walking the dog in the darkness, and so coyotes that close is a little unnerving. I have 2 more days to get my entries ready for the fair, I hope I am able to gather enough ... gardens are weather beaten this year. Have a great day all :)

Good evening all! We had a cattle test today so we been gathering up them most of the day. It's a lot of work and it's stressful when they try to break out and you need to run here and there. Well it's done now so we can relax now. However they need to be gathered again on Saturday
    Have a great day all!
