Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 8°C and sunny. I have so much I want to do today that I'm not really sure where to begin! I guess I will drink my coffee and 'stew' a little and decide. Have a great day all :)

Good afternoon all! Bright and fresh day here at the moment. Promised a nice week ahead actually :) This week my folks will get the last of the oats cut and then the next big job is the potato picking next month. Should be fun :/
Have a wonderful Sunday all :like:

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 11°C and sunny. I pulled a row of tomatoes out yesterday. They looked like they were frost bitten, which was entirely possible as we had one really cold morning. But the rest of the garden looked fine, so I am confused. Regardless, the plot was cleared out and then topdressed with chopped leaves and composted cow manure. Also prepared a new spot in the garden the same way, and it will be next years zucchini patch. Hopefully the worms and bugs etc get the chopped leaves all worked in before spring. I'm always thinking ahead! Canning this morning, and then hopefully some time to work in the gardens. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Still have another week of no rain and temps in the 90+ range and I am so tired of that I could 'spit nails'.
Busy first half of this 4 day weekend off, we went to Corsicana on Friday to wander through some junque/antique shops (one really good one has closed so that was sad). But I did find a few things, mainly to use in our bathroom remodeling next year.....hehehehe, just wait until you hear what we are going to do to it. Spent the night there and then went to Randy's folks for an early celebration of their 64th wedding anniversary. Then home really late last night and into our own, wonderful, comfy, warm bed.....some hotel beds are better than others but the one Friday night was only okay.
Today is a hang around the house day, Randy has a vacation day scheduled for tomorrow so I think that will be grocery shopping and hair cut day. I am really tired of the hassle of this long tangled mass so it's going to get whacked off.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 18°C and cloudy. I stayed up late to see the eclipse, but there were too many clouds to see anything. I am paying the price today ... when my alarm went off at 5am I was NOT happy! Off to work, where fall clean will most likely begin this week, and the gathering of grasses, pumpkins and other stuff for decorating will begin. Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 18°C and cloudy. We have some rain in the forecast for later today and we really NEED the rain. Another busy day at work ahead ... starting to gather things for fall decorating as well as fall cleanup. I spent over an hour in the corn field last night, and will be collecting pumpkins and Mums as well. Have a great day all :)

    Hi all, :smt039
Sunny morning here, warm (78°F) and very humid after several days of rain showers - more rain in the forecast, so need to make the most of this break in the weather. :)

Good afternoon everyone. Beautiful day here. Was to town early to do my errands and soon I must go out and mow the lawns. It will be the last time for this year and I need to use up the gas in the mower so as not to set in there all winter. Lots of heavy rains coming tonight and tomorrow. Showers for the next week also so I must get my outside work done today! Happy to say though, that the gardens are all in except for one pumpkin and an arm load of butternut squash.:smt041

Good morning all! Quite the foggy morning here however that is masking a warm day that we are promised ahead :) The last two days have been very pleasant.

    Have a top Wednesday all!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 8°C with a cool breeze. It sure felt like a COLD breeze blowing on me in bed, and it sure was hard getting up! Yesterdays rain was a no show (again!) and is it ever dry. I think the only thing saving the grass and plants is the cooler weather and heavy morning dews. We really NEED a good rain though, for the trees before the cold weather comes. Off to work, where I will be dragging hoses again. Have a great day all :)

Morning all. Hot and Dry....not much else going on weather wise. I was going to order a few things to make for holiday gifts but since the government might shut down tomorrow for who knows how long and there will be no paycheck until it's over, I had better not spend the extra money.

I saw where the shutdown has been averted but you know the government. On and off and who knows what's next!
We went to the Writer's Group at the Senior Center today. It meets every Wednesday. It's been a bit slow since the weather has been cooler. It wasn't quite 60 degrees today with a wind of 12-15 mph. I wore a jacket but I think I need to put the wooly lining in it for tomorrow. I never know what to wear at this time of the year because it starts off cool and then warms up so you end up carrying a jacket or sweater. It was sunny though and it's sunny for the next few days. If the wind would calm down it would be nice out for the rest of the week. You all have a nice evening now. dooley

We have a 10 day reprieve, then it's back to waiting for them to either make another short term approval or send unessential government employees home with no pay. It happens just about every year around November, little early this year because they really never approved the budget last Dec so we have been living on pins and needles since then.

Good morning all! Very heavy fog this morning. I can hardly see the nose in front of my face. I hope anyone driving right now has good lights and stays safe.

Our oats are almost cut now, only an acre or so left. That will be one job less for the year to worry about.

    Have a productive Thursday all!
