Morning all. Currently 43º and drizzly. Im annoyed at the weather lately. I want to get out and do some gardening, but that may not happen until July at the rate the weather is going. All week its going to be ranging from lows in the upper 20's to highs in the low 60's. And all grey, cloudy, rainy and possibly even snowy. Ugh!

I've got a chiropractor appt today, then the rest of the day Im free for whatever. Need to run by the store for fabric softener, so I can detangle my new doll's hair. I went to Goodwill the other day and found a Belle doll that will be my new model for doll-sized people clothes. Id been keeping my eyes open for one for a couple years now. There was also a Rapunzel doll, but I chose Belle because she has brown hair and eyes like me :D

On Tuesday we went and bought some pheromone calming collars for the cats because K's kitties dont much like my boy, they harass him every chance they get. Beej is fine with his collar, but K's cats dont like theirs at all. They actually seem to be rather skittish now (could just be because they hate collars, period). We're going to give them a few more days, because the collars take up to a week to work. Sometime in the near future we may upgrade to the Feliway plug-ins. K's aunt and uncle had great results using it for their kitties.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -7°c and overcast with scattered flurries. I, too, am annoyed with the weather lately. I got more gardening done in February and March than I have been able to do in April! It has been cold, snowing, icy, windy and/or raining since the month began. I have had enough!! Of to get an oil change and a leaky tire fixed today. Have a great day all :)

It's snowing big time out there right now. It said 1 to 3 inches today. I hope this is the last snow of the spring. The forecast says temperatures in the high 40's to low 50's this coming week so maybe the snow won't last too long. I have a bad cough right now so I'm not going out today. I thought about going for the paper but decided not too even walk the three or four blocks to the store. I think I am going to go and make some cookies. We made peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips for a friend last week. He said they were his favorite cookie. So, we decided to make chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips this week and see if he likes the reverse of the cookies. dooley

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -6°C and sunny. Busy day ahead ... pot luck luncheon and awards banquet with my daughters skating club today. I'm bringing baked gnocchi and bean salad today, can't wait to try all the other delicious dishes! Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -6°C and cloudy. Just checked our forecast for today only to discover we are under a winter storm warning! :frustrated:
I just want to get out into my garden!!! I guess it will be housework and laundry today then, and hoping the snow is less rather than more. Have a great day all :)

Rain is predicted for late this afternoon, so there goes my "day of rest"--I'll be planting corn this morning and afternoon. I'd rather have the corn than an afternoon off!

Good morning all. Overcast and chilly here today, we too are supposed to have rain later this evening into tomorrow. Certainly hope so since the drought conditions are creeping closer and closer to my area again.

Bip, if you get those plug-ins keep an eye on them. We had some (I forget the brand) there was a defect and the diffuser part clogged up which meant none of the calming substance was leaving the bottle.
You might get some Bach Rescue Remedy for Pets too. A few drops in their water bowls will calm them too.

First full weekend in our new home with both of us home and I finally have a day off. But it's raining and chilly. Brent has a week at home before going on the road again so we've decided to mash up some strawberry kiwi wine to put away and age.

Probably should take a nap instead but I wanna get this stuff fermenting.

Good morning all. Well we missed the hail again yesterday, it all went west to east just a very few miles north of us. Lots of damage across that area and baseball size hail stones (that is almost 3 inches in diameter).
We got only .14 of an inch of rain, really could use more before summer hits. Not working in the yard today, it's chilly and besides I am reclaiming Tuesdays as my reading day. I started that years ago, held on to it until gardening took over my time almost everyday. But now that the gardens are pretty much on their own, I am taking the day back, I really miss it.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -6°C and clear. Off for day 2 of work, I had a good day yesterday and hope today goes as well. Things seem to be very slow to grow this season, I guess the recent snow has everything nervous! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. We are getting rain by dribs and drabs.... just .14 yesterday and only .06 this morning. That is not going to be very helpful. Already have wildfire warnings and events going on west of here again.
Spent yesterday reading. I have wanted to start reading about our Presidents so yesterday I started with George Washington, have two books about him and then on to John Adams.

1/2" of rain last night, and it's still drizzling this morning. At least the temperature is in the low 60's so it doesn't feel chilly. Since outside work is pretty much kaput for this morning, I'm baking a dozen loaves of French bread and trying to sort out my cupboards.
Husband is in his workshop building a garden workbench for me to put outside in back of the barn. There is a cement pad there that housed something at some time, so we are going to put the bench there, handy to the large gardens and the smaller ones in back of the barn.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -4 degrees C and clear. It's going to be another lovely day (FINALLY!) Only problem is that I will be at work rather than my own gardens, but hopefully there will still be time to do a little something in my own garden later. Shopping day also, so we shall see. Have a great day all :)
