You're braver than I am. I won't even hunt if it's that cold.

Good morning all. You know these damp, sorta rainy days would be great, wonderful, fantastic if it would actually rain a decent amount. We have had drizzles off and on for 3 days and the total has not even reached 1/4th of an inch. But at least the temp has been more like the Aprils of old, not the upper 80s to mid 90s of the last few years.

I need to get my gardening clothes on and get out back now that the temps are decent and the wind has died down.

Morning all. A bit chilly right now at 46º, but supposed to warm up to the 60s. Cant wait, cause my feet are cold :D Went to the chiropractor this morning, then wanted to get a Starbucks Chai Latte, but the location closest to me is closed for remodeling and I didn't want to drive to the other location in town.
I hate driving around town. You've got the drivers who go at or -below- the speed limit (which is only 30 on most of the streets, its a ridiculous speed...should be 40 at least), and you've got the drivers who go 10+mph over. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground o_O I don't have a problem with people going the limit (it is the law after all lol), but seriously if you're going 25 in a 30, don't be surprised when someone is riding your tail. Oy.

But remember Jen, the speed limit number is the fastest you can go but that doesn't mean that's the speed you have to go. Some drivers are way more comfortable with their driving skills at a little slower speed.
Someone starts riding my tail, they had better have their other foot close to their brake pedal cause I am more likely to slow down to encourage them to go around me than I am to speed up just to please them. Sometimes that slowing down is done by hitting the brakes.:scheming:

But if you're going slower than everyone else, you're impeding the flow of traffic, which is against the law, especially here. We even have a whole law about it ;)

It's a good good morning, well almost afternoon. I worked later than expected (14 hours) and came home to the boy pulling into the drive with a deer on his trailer. He bought me a 955 with hydrostatic controls.

    So. Now I'm not tired.

A very good day today! Went into town and dropped off donations to the food bank, got some needed stuff at the hardware store, grocery shopped, and visited with my buddies at the hair salon and caught up on all the local gossip (for a small town, there is a lot going on!).
Got home and mowed the back yard, gathered eggs since the ladies have kicked into high gear with the warmer weather, and now I'm taking a glass of wine to the patio and basking in the overcast.

Sorry, not been posting much recently. Have been trying to sort out illustrations for the next book. Hard trying to get someone to hurry up with their contribution without seeming to nag.

Good morning all. I think I have two days of nice weather before another storm front moves in and this time it's supposed to actually bring rain and not just drizzle. We'll see  But just in case it really happens I will be spending as much of the next 48 hours as possible out in the back garden.

Yesterday before I spent almost all day in the back garden, I (forgot on purpose) to set something out for supper so it was to be supper out. We had some things to drop off at oldest daughter's, got there and we ended up all going to her favorite Mexican/Tex-Mex place for a nice meal and visit. I love the impromptu events.

Good afternoon all. Beautiful day here but extremely windy. Would love to get out and do a little yard work. Will have to stay in because the wind bothers my sinuses terribly. Our weather is summery one day and freezing the next! I have my peppers and tomatoes seeds planted. Did those a couple of days ago as we can not usually plant our garden until the second week of June. So that will give them the eight weeks to grow a decent size for planting. Also have about 300 hundred strawberry seedlings on my living floor in front of the patio door. They are doing well but I can't put them in my unheated greenhouse until the night temps are above freezing. Here's a little visual of spring in Canada! Have a great day everyone.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 6°C and sunny. We have a beautiful weekend ahead, and I plan to make the best of it. I'm just not sure I'm going to have the energy to get everything I want to do DONE! Laundry to do first, and that is getting hung outside on the line. Then I want to get the patio furniture out, but I also have some pork to pressure can. And of course there is tons to do in the garden too. Wow, I'd better get to it! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Actually the predicted rain is looking more and more likely for my garden....might not be out there working on my long list of have-to-do projects afterall.

But we need to return the cat trap to the city and get a couple of things for hubby to make his bread rounds which will eventually lead to a stop at the garden center....I'm not driving but I do have some influence over the driver.

Well. It is a good day. I decided not to take a nap cause I don't have to work tonight. I have instead of precious sleep decided to sit out back and watch the sun glide across my garden. (yeah less ambitious than I originally planned) and map out when the sun is where.

BECAUSE,,, it looks like we have no more cold so last frost is supposed to be done. Maybe plant tomorrow.

I will of course be making a diagram or somethin with when the shade and sun is and how long so you beautiful people can bestow upon me your wisdom and help me decide what to plant and where.

    Yippie.

Ok. No more wine for me. Hey it might be afternoon but it's my late at night. Don't judge. ;)

Typical Saturday at work. Made one customer so happy that he and his people (local chapter of Hells Angels) said theyll switch their shopping from the other store cross town to us (same company, but thay store doesnt seem to be doing so hot). Go me :)
