Cjay, we could use you here on the farm! I can only bake, not weld, draw, read a print, do electrical work, and I can't hit the broad side of the barn with either the pistol or rifle (but I've scared a few feral cats). I envy your prowess, I truly do.
I regret all those years studying literature and art, when I should have been taking a course in basic mechanics.

Sweetie. We are all good at what we are good at.

And I'm sure you are absolutely wonderful at more than baking. Heck in that one gal's thread about gardening in her apartment you brought up talking to the super about the load bearing capability of her balcony. Even with all my technical experience and trades I didn't think to bring up that question.

I regret not learning more about art, literature music and many other things.

But I'm happy even given my regrets.

Now if you're ever around SE Iowa hit me up and give me a weekend. I'll have you shaming most people that send lead down range. And you'll certainly be able to fuze two pieces of steel together.

Hi everyone. Just checking in to say that I'm "high and dry". We only got around 5 inches of rain the last few days. Standing water in the usual places, but nothing like the immediate Houston area is getting.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 4 degrees C and cloudy. We are expecting rain later, and we need it. I have been so busy this week, I haven't even had time to check my gardens! I'm going to go look at a new car tonight, but hopefully the rain will allow me to have a few minutes to check my gardens. Have a great day all :)

Hey Cheryl, you need to hang around here more!!!! Are you still going to meet your brother and cruise the ocean with him?

Good morning all. Got a little more rain last night. Again, the weather guy made the forecast sound like you better batten down the hatches and hold onto your aunt fanny .....my yard got a whoppin' .35 of an inch. Don't know where the rest of it went.
But that's supposed to be the last of this bout of storms. It's going to take Houston weeks to dry out.

It was supposed to rain here today but we have just had a mix of sun and clouds. No rain yet. Maybe during the night. Sometimes it divides and goes around Lake Winnebago and we don't get any of it.
Did some sewing this morning, rode the bus to the Senior Center and traded our books. You don't sign the books in and out. You just put your books on the shelf and borrow what you want and then bring them back when you are done. It's an honor system and it seems to work okay. dooley

Good Friday morning all. Currently 12 degrees and overcast. We had some rain overnight, that should get things growing. Off for another day of cleanup at work, and then home and off to pick up my son from college for the last time! He graduates this year, so he will be home again. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. No rain here until sometime next week.

Dooley, our local Dunn Brothers Coffee Shop has a book and magazine lending set up like that, I took several books there when they started it.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 0°C and sunny. It's the towns free compost giveaway today, and so I am off shortly to take advantage of it. I have lots to do today, as somehow I was talked into working on Sunday. I have to do 2 days work in one today! Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently just 3°C and overcast. I had a very busy day at work yesterday, but I have the day off today. I get to spend the day with my son, who just moved home from College, and hopefully pick up my new car. THe weather isn't great, so I will be able to get some inside work done. Have a great day all :)

Traded in my 2009 Dodge Journey for the 2013 model. Loved the first one so much, I got another!
Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -1 degrees C and clear. We had snow and hail yesterday, and the temperatures didn't go above 3 degrees. I do hope we warm up to the predicted 11 degrees today! Have a great day all :)
