Toni, I hope whatever is clogging you stops clogging you! This time of year there are so many things that can make you sneeze, sniffle, cough, and feel awful.
I picked more green beans this morning, pulled more carrots, pulled the last of the sad, small onions that got drowned, and got some rather nice cherry tomatoes. The chicks are outside enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. They will come back inside to the nursery for the afternoon, and then go back out for a while in late afternoon. Nothing like sitting on the patio, watching the chicks peck and flutter, while enjoying a glass of wine (me, not the chicks).

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 9 degrees and windy. Another cold day in the garden. I've been so busy and really been feeling worn out, and so today after work I will be doing nothing! Yup ... Nothing! And its going to feel good :)

Good morning all. Waiting for a door installer to show up next door, I have her house keys to let him in, her massive dog who is a sweetie if he knows you, is in his cage and I am to take before and after photos for her.

Today is my oldest daughters birthday, hard to believe that at this time 49 years ago I was scared, anxious and deliriously happy about going through childbirth for the first time. I'll let her sleep for a while longer then call to wish her happy birthday.....but if you think about it why am I letting her sleep late when she got me up at 4:30 a.m. that morning wanting to be born and change my life.:scheming:

Good Friday morning all. Currently 10°C and cloudy. Thank goodness it is Friday, as it has been a busy week! Today will be a day of dragging hoses, and then home to do the same tonight. Have a great day all :)

Today we set up the playpen in the new coop, and moved the chicklets into their new home. They'll have a few days in the playpen to get used to the new area, then they'll have all the new coop to play in. When they are big enough the hatch door will open and they'll formally meet their "mentors", the mature hens. Each group will have sufficient time to stare at each other and get used to having other poultry around. Photos to come!

Good afternoon all. Forgot the time, I have been indexing plants in the database today.
Dinner with the birthday girl was fun last night. She wanted to go to Las Lupes Tex-Mex and the waiter and manager were super helpful finding something in their kitchen that our future granddaughter-in-law can eat, she has a severe case of Celiac Disease and has to be very careful and were able to get her a good sized and very tasty meal.
After dinner we all went to Paciugo for the best gelato around. Great Evening.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently just 9°C, with sunny skies and strong winds. It was very HOT yesterday, and so I was surprised to wake up to such cool temperatures without a thunderstorm. My daughter went to a wedding last night and so her dog was here for the night . There is nothing like getting woken up by a 110 lb dog sitting on you! Gave him breakfast and took him for a walk, and introduced him to the neighbors horses. He wasn't too sure what to think of them, or them of him. Odd amusement for a Sunday morning :)

Sunshine, heat, and humidity this morning--yes, this is my Texas! I picked more squash so tomorrow is a run to the food pantry with my offerings.
Today after I get the wash off the line I think I'll just take it easy and rest up for a busy week to come.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 10°C and cloudy, with a brisk NW breeze. I have the day off today, to make my bi-annual dental appointment with my daughter and then a trip to the mall. I have a big list of things to shop for, but it has to be quick. We are expecting the water truck at 3pm to finally fill our pool. Busy day, even if I don't have to go to work! Have a great day all :)

Greetings all we are back from our 5 week road trip. 3800 miles and from extreme south Louisiana to Niagara falls. Plenty garden news to come soon as I reclaim the jungle that is our yard. hard to find the veggies for the weeds but we are chipping away at it.

Welcome home cappy, glad you trip was safe and fun.

Good morning all. We had rain late yesterday and not just a typical rain but heavy, blow you off your feet, pull into a parking lot because you can not see the hood of you vehicle RAIN accompanied by some pea-size hail. It was another of those fast moving rain storms so it didn't last long enough to leave a lot of rain behind, there was only about an inch in my gauge but when the wind is blowing the rain at a 45 degree angle about half the time, not much actually gets into that really small opening. Lots of lightning that resulted in house fires too but thankfully no injuries of people. Got more forecast for this afternoon and when the temp is in the 90's with humidity near 90% it will probably be another whopper!!

??? really????? you probably drove almost past my house. I wish I had known I would have told you to stop. I would have even given you a bed for the night and breakfast for the next day... Well, anyway, I hope you had a fabulous trip and we are glad you are back.
