Thanks Carolyn. We travel with or lil 18 ft camper behind us so we bring our own bed and kitchen with us. It's the best way to go for us cause we know our stuff is gluten free and its a comfort to have your own bed and stuff. We went to bury one of Peg's old uncles. the service was in buffalo and burial down in olean. We stayed at friends house in Rochester. Now between daily showers in the horrid humidity I am trying desperatly to reclaim our jungle and garden boxes

I would have had room to park the camper, too.... Next time let me know if you are this direction... eggs and bacon for breakfast? I have plenty of eggs. the girls leave them all day long for me. You would be more than welcome to stop over for the night or even a few days and take time to tour the area. there are some very interesting museums and places to see around here if that type of stuff interests you.

We may take ya up on that some day. We always bring Cajun goodies with us and the spices to cook them so maybe we could hold a cultural exchange or something:)

Sounds okay to me... but no onions. Hubby can't eat them.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 10 degrees C and cloudy. The winds seem to have finally stopped howling too. I just had a long weekend and I am feeling caught up and ready to work hard today. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. The time has come to shift my activities from gardening to anything indoors for the next 3+ months this is the time of the year I call the winnowing time....what doesn't make it until October will not be replaced. I have books and knitting projects all lined up to occupy me until October.......and am still trying to find my grandmother previous to 1920 so I will be keeping busy.

Good humid morning! I picked over the garden and took squash into the food bank. My husband checked the hives, and will be splitting one soon. We won't have spring honey, due to the many rainy days and overcast skies that keep the bees indoors. The chicks got fresh water and more food today, and the hens gave us three eggs at 7 a.m. I think they see competition looming and are trying to get on our good side!
There is weeding to be done, but perhaps tomorrow. The weeds will still be here, and as Toni says, the big ones are easier to pull!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 10 degrees C and clear. I thought I would come home to a full pool yesterday after work, but it seems the water truck forgot about us, so it is still only half full. Grrr, not sure why I am having such trouble getting water this year! Off to work, and later home to relax a little for a change. Its my birthday and I think the kids are coming over later. And hopefully the water truck fills the pool while I am at work. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. I have been and will continue to spend my time indoors on junque planning projects.....what to do with what I already have and making a list of future purchases for projects I keep finding in my gardening magazines. I could just stop buying the magazines but I am afraid deprivation would cause my brain to implode and that could be very messy to have to clean up.
I also need to make soap.

I am waiting for the two DNA kits I ordered earlier this month, tracking showed that they were supposed to be delivered on Monday but some not so bright box thrower at the UPS sorting facility put the package on a truck to Houston which is about 4 hours south of us instead of sending it to our post office which is less than 10 miles from the sorting facility. So it sat in the Houston warehouse from Friday through Tuesday when it was sent back up here and is now out for delivery to me. We are taking it down to Randy's parents on Sunday for them to spit into the tube, they are both really interested in finding out what their ancestry is.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 12 degrees C and overcast. Pool is finally filled, and all the gardens watered. Another busy day today, and then shopping and errands after work. We have no food left in the house so its a much needed outing. Counting down the days until the new puppy comes home! Have a great day all :)

I thought you might be doing something behind the scenes, it was running a little slow to upload a couple of times and then I realized that one of my posts was shipped out into cyberspace. No biggie, I remember what it was but since I was paying bills this morning and the bank website was a quite sluggish I was afraid my computer was turning against me.
