Good morning all. It's RAINING here, so far there is a little over an inch in my gauge. Looks like it's coming to an end but I am so happy with what we have gotten, I really hope that isn't all for October!!

Good morning all. Yesterdays rain ended with 1.25 inches in my rain gauge and today is a little chilly at 62 deg. Soon as Growing a Greener World is over I will attacking some weeds but where to begin.....front or back. Thankfully the early morning temps will be in the 60's all this coming week even though the afternoon highs will be back up near 90 each day :( But at least I have my gardening mornings back after 5 months of 80+ degrees at 6 a.m. and going up from there.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently just 4°C and sunny. Yesterday was a busy day ... Saturday skating sessions started bright and early, and then it was home to cook down 50lbs of tomatoes. I was in the kitchen until 9:30pm when the last timer went off and the pressure canner could be turned off. Today, I need to rinse the jars, label and put away all the spaghetti sauce and pizza sauce. Today, I am roasting a Cinderella pumpkin for our pumpkin pie dessert for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Then heading to my daughters to re-do her front garden before they return from their honeymoon, and bringing their dog home. They will be arriving here some time in the early hours tomorrow and we will have an early dinner. I'm sure they will be exhausted from their travels!

Good morning all. Nice and wonderfully cool here this morning and the humidity is very low which makes for an even more wonderful day. I actually bought some plants yesterday, first I have bought in two years but I really wanted some fall color to replace the plants that didn't like our dry and hot summer.

It was cool here again today but it said it was 57 degrees. I wore a heavy jacket when we went out since we walk everywhere. It will be in the 60's this coming week but will rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Nothing much doing here this time of the year but the Pumpkin Festival and some other fall stuff. dooley

Good morning all. The flat of Snapdragons, purple Petunias and red Dianthus are all planted now, repotted a couple of plants that needed larger pots and tried not to get depressed and stressed about all the things that didn't get done while the sun was ruling the sky last summer. The temps will be climbing back to near 90 by the end of the week but hopefully it will be a dry heat and maybe some rain....not holding my breath on that one.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently just 1°C and clear. We had a killing frost yesterday, and so the gardening season is almost over for me. 2 good weeks of clean up at work, and then it will all be over. I will definitely be working off my thanksgiving dinner! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. I think I will work in the back yard this morning, but I wandered through it yesterday afternoon and got so depressed at how much got away from me over the summer that I might not.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 10°C and clear. Off to work, where I will be working solo today, to start clearing the garden beds. I think I will work on the small ones today.
A quick pizza dinner and then off to skating. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all.....73 deg and only 88% humidity level this morning, working in the garden should be like gardening in a sauna so I think I will forgo that pleasure and stay inside and knit.
But tomorrow is supposed to be overcast and cooler.

I want to have dinner with you Netty, I'll even do the dishes... I love pizza. Especially a large spinach, mushroom, Alfredo one.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 10°C and overcast and windy. It rained last night too, so it feels like a typical fall day. We need rain badly, so I hope it continues even if it means a miserable working day. Fall cleanup continues at work today, progress has been slow. Have a great day all :)

TGIF! Good morning all. Currently just 2°C and clear. May have some frost settle when the sun comes up, but I am up long before the sunrise today. Lots to do!
I'm dressed warmer today as I froze in yesterdays wind. Long johns are on, as are wool socks and the extra layer of jacket.
A very long feeling short week, and I am glad to see the weekend. Daughter wants to be up early tomorrow though, to get to the arena and work on her new skating program. She's real excited about this one! Have a great day all :)

baking again today... have a bushel of peppers to wash, carrots to check on, maybe pull some, lettuce to pick, maybe a few things more to find in the garden if it didn't get frosted last night. it is chilly out there this morning.

Morning all. Pretty chilly this morning. My caters are still chewing away at my single, sad looking parsley. Im going to try buying a small assortment of produce (more parsley, fennel) for them after work. Also going to go buy Menards which os right next door. Garden centers tend to quit selling summer plants around August in my area. I think that's dumb.
I have to work the next 6 days straight since I leave for vacation next Thursday! Ill make a new post about that next week, and Ill be posting lots of pics, hopefully :)
