Morning, everyone, and hi, neighbor Dooley!

It's 25f and cloudy here, with flurries possible through Thurs. I'm looking forward to the warm up this weekend though, almost 50! We all seem to be in the same schizophrenic weather pattern ;).

    Have a groovy day, all!

Potato planting day! It was 69 degrees when I got up--can't argue with that. Rain is predicted for tonight, so I want to get the potatoes in and the onions hoed, then up-pot tomato and pepper starts, and if I can still stand, fix lunch!
    SylvieB, I love your avatar.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 8°C and overcast. We had rain overnight, and we are expecting torrential rains today. That should clean things up! Strong winds expected this evening so I told Hubby to make sure the generator is full of gas in case of power outage. We would need it to keep the sump pump going! I'll be inside during the rain, working on our taxes. With any luck we will get a refund! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. We are on the upswing or downswing of the weather roller coaster today, depending on whether you like cool weather or not. We all should know my opinion of cool weather so I am loving today. Pretty windy too so I might not be able to get outside like I had hoped. Yesterday was a high of 83, this morning it's only 53!!!! Not winter weather but pretty much as close as my area is going to come this winter.

I would love 53 degrees right about now, Toni!

It's 19 out right now but the sun is out and it will get to 30 this afternoon. This weekend will be a warm up and I'm so looking forward to it!

Silly me, I decided to go out and water all our little vegetable plants this morning, in a 30 mph wind. I ended up wearing more water than I got on the ground, so after doing the lettuce bed and snap peas, I gave up.
At least the temperature stopped dropping. It was 63 when I got up, and 60 when I went out on my ill-fated watering effort.
Ah well, tomorrow is another day, and hopefully without gale force winds!

Good Thursday morning all. The weather roller coaster continues ...Currently -14°C feeling like -24°C with the wind chill.
Off to do some errands and shopping, and then home to finish my taxes. I live such an exciting life!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Yesterday was 73 with a very chilly strong north wind, last night 39 and today should be in the upper 60s then the roller coaster starts it's climb back up.
I did some organizing of my genealogy stuff yesterday... hubby's grandmother certainly liked to keep newspaper obit notices. Got the oldest grandsons DNA results the other day so I will spend some time going over that and comparing to the rest of the family.

Today is the 181st anniversary of the adoption of the Texas Independence Declaration. But the number of the general population who knows or pays any attention to that is dwindling.

It's only 12 here right now and the high today is 19, yikes! Apparently it's going to be well over 50 on Sunday though so I just live in a dumb state, that's all there is to it LOL

Toni, I do a lot of genealogy work as well! I've yet to do any DNA tests but it certainly be interesting once I do.

Sylvie, keep an eye out on Ancestry.com around major holidays, that's when they put the test kits on $20 off. We have had 8 of our immediate family done over the last year and I think that's it for us.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -14°C and sunny. The weather roller coaster continues today, with our low of -21°C last night and high expecting to reach 10°C tomorrow. Mother Nature sure has been moody lately! Was up late last night with my daughter at a skating competition, but she did very well and finally won gold - she has been getting silver all season and so I was so happy for her to reach gold! Proud Mom :setc_005:
It's been a busy week, and so today I'm just going to 'putter' around the house, maybe a bit of cleaning.
Have a great day all :)

Good afternoon all. Yeah, the roller coaster weather is still swooping up and down here too. The last few days have been in the 50-60 deg range, tomorrow will be in the 80s then back into the 50-60s for the rest of the upcoming week.

Nettie, please congratulate your "golden" daughter for me! That is a wonderful accomplishment and you have every right to be proud!
Today, like yesterday, is drizzly. Over the one and a half day period we've had 1/2" of rain, soaking in and doing the gardens good. I just wish I'd gotten the second planting of carrots and peas in before the rain came. Ah well, the wages of being lazy . . . .

I'll keep my eye out for DNA test kit sales, Toni, thanks!

It was warm and sunny here yesterday so I took a long walk through the woods with the dog. It's going to be even warmer today, almost 60f, which is certainly a record for March. It's funny to see no snow on the ground but a still-frozen lake!

Hope everyone has a great week ahead of them :D
