The Good Day All Thread

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 11°C and clear. Day 2 of the cool down today, with the high reaching 19°C. I didn't even take off my sweater at work yesterday until 2pm.
Busy day today, and then grocery shopping on the way home. I hope to get to bed early tonight. I'm getting a sore throat and I do NOT want to be sick!

Good Friday morning all. Currently just 10°C and clear. The days are much cooler now, todays high is only 20°C! The next 2 weeks look about the same, and no rain in sight.
It really is starting to feel like fall!
My throat is still a little sore, and I've been sucking on fishermans friend - my mom swears by this stuff!

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 9°C and clear. Up bright and early on a Saturday to go to a skaters workshop with my daughter.
A fun thing to do before the skating season begins. In 2 days she starts school.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 10°C and sunny. I slept in today!!
I'm going to putter around the house this morning, finish the laundry and make some zucchini relish.
Outside this afternoon to garden and vacuum the pool. Not too much else planned today.

Netty, your "not too much else planned today" sounds like a week's work to me!
We are having a gentle rain--2 1/2" over the last two days. I need to harvest some herbs, so I'm hoping for a window of opportunity to get out and cut! Otherwise, I'll just bake. The hens think it's my fault they get damp when they go out, but at least they aren't withholding eggs (yet).

 

Good Monday morning all. Currently just 10°C and sunny. I am off to spend a day in the school life of my daughter this morning! I get to go to all her classes, meet her teacher and principle, get lost in the halls and most likely dish out a lot of money. This day is only for grade 9 students that are new to the school and their parents, so they wont be embarrassed in front of the other grade students. Also a free BBQ lunch! Should make for an interesting day! Tonight, I get to 'man' the skating registration booth. Tomorrow, I'm back to work to get a rest LOL Have a great day all

 

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. I'm very tired today!
Off to work, where I'm sure it will be a day of dragging hoses. Oil change and brake check for the car tonight, and they I have to make a cheesecake for my sons birthday tomorrow.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 9°C and clear... I think! It is still so very dark out now when I walk the dog! Lots of stars so it must be clear! LOL
Off to work, I'm getting so tired of dragging hoses to keep things watered. It's starting to remind me of last summer when we had no rain all summer.
Today is my sons 21st birthday ... Chinese food and cheesecake are what he's asked for. I made the cherry cheese cake last night and will pick up the Chinese take out later.
Those 21 years sure flew by!

Netty, happy birthday to your son (and I'd reluctantly accept a slice of that cheesecake).
Today is prepping three raised beds for fall planting. Hauling compost is easier now we have a tow-behind wagon for the ATV. I load the wagon, my husband drives it to where the beds are, unhooks, and I get to have more fun!

 

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 9°C with a chilly high of 16°C expected today. I am wearing pants today, instead of shorts!
Just found out I get the holiday Monday off next week! I am so excited to have a long weekend and get some work done in my gardens!! I haven't been able to spend quality time out there in 3 weeks! How exciting

 

Good Friday morning all, and TGIF ... I am worn out!! My alarm was not my friend this morning.
Off to work and this day can NOT go fast enough. Bring on the weekend!
Currently only 5°C, areas an hour north of here have a frost warning in effect. In August, this is CRAZY! I'm in pants again today.

We awoke to 69 degrees this morning, with a clear sky and low humidity. This is the way to start September!
Husband weed-whacked the front fence line, I cleaned out another raised bed (with a lot of help from the cat--leaping and swatting and rolling in the pulled weeds) and have laundry on the line. This afternoon is making pesto with the abundance of basil we have.
I just wish some of the folks in shelters could enjoy our unusual but oh-so-welcome cool weather!

 

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 10°C and clear. Had a nice long walk with the dog this morning. He's been really confused since my daughter went back to school. I guess he's not enjoying his time alone. It's a long weekend so he gets to enjoy having the whole family home! I've got lots of yard work to do and lots of laundry as well. I'm trying not to leave the house this weekend, but I may have to make a quick run into the grocery store tomorrow.
