Good evening all. I got another 'all clear' from the oncologist this afternoon, I am on a visit every six months schedule now so it's March and September for a couple of years more.
I was hoping this nice weather would hang around a loooooong time but we are looking at 95 - 100 degrees for the rest of Sept. Maybe October will cool down but remembering last October I am not holding my breath.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 9°C and clear. Getting used to these fall like days ... cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon. The trick is to dress in layers.
Off to work, where today we will need to water, water, water!
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 13°C and clear. It's SO dark out this morning, and on our morning dog walk we discovered 2 raccoons in the yard. Scared the heck out of me, but the dog was on duty! Off to work, where the watering and deadheading continue. Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 14°C and cloudy. Small chance of rain this morning.
Another busy day at work, trimming and watering today. I have the day off tomorrow so I have lots to do today!
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 14°C and foggy. It's going to be a hot one today, and for the next few days. I have the day off today, and I'm going to be spending it cleaning out the Skating club office and decorating the bulletin boards for the upcoming season! I'll have time to garden this afternoon :)
Have a great day all :)

Good afternoon, we have 90-99 deg temps lasting through the month of Sept, maybe October will be nicer....or at least include some rain. We have been bone dry since the middle of August with the rest of the month is looking the same.

We decided to take Sunday off--no mowing, no hauling water, just playing with the kittens and watching bull riding this afternoon.
It's "warm" here, predicted to be in the mid-90's by late this afternoon. Rain is a possibility for next week, and like Toni, we have our fingers crossed for some moisture to fall out of the sky!

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 19°C and foggy. I just had the creepiest dog walk in the dark and foggy! It had to be done though, to get the garbage put out and the dog walked. We have an appointment with the vet later today, for his annual exam and shots. Should be interesting!
Have a great day all :)

We had heavy fog early this morning but when it wore off we had sun and it was 89 degrees.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 18°C and clear. Very, very dark in the mornings now, and the dog walk is done in total darkness. Kind of scary really!
Took Sargent to the vet yesterday, and he weighed in at 74 lbs! Vet said he was the perfect weight, and everything looked great. He got his rabies shot too.
Today after work, I have the last skating registration day. It wont be long and we'll be back on the ice!
Off to work, have a great day all :)

Good morning all. It was 98 yesterday and another one of those coming today.
I think to day will be another sit, knit and watch a movie day. I am working on red scarves for the Red Scarf Project....got three done and one more to go.

Toni, my knitting skills are minimal, but I think I could manage a scarf. Would you explain the Red Scarf Project, any requirements, and how much time a "minimal" knitter would have to complete a scarf?

When kids in the foster program age out and either go to college or into the adult world on their own, this group gives them a red scarf for love and courage. One that has been knitted (I think crochet is acceptable) by typically a mom or gramma type with love just for them.
They have a few patterns on the site but any pattern would work. When you send them the scarves you can enclose a card of encouragement for the future, gift cards, etc. Also include your first name and city/state but I don't think they want more personal information than that to be included.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. Happy First day of Fall!
Another hot one ahead, and more watering. I'll be switching over to some fall flowers today. Other than that, just another average day!
Have a great day all :)
