The Good Day All Thread

Happy Friday everyone. Blinking cold here in Essex this morning, just one degree and a hard frost blankets the countryside however there is warmth in the sunshine and my conservatory is really warm so hopefully my freshly sown tomato and chilli seeds will start to put there teeny weeny roots down. I had an animal husbandry kinda morning, walking the dog for a couple of hours then I bathed our non hibernating tortoise (the other three are tucked away for the winter) and cleaned his vivarium, fed our aging bearded dragon lizard and gave home a freshen up and fed and watered our grumpy corn snake. I'm now thinking its knitting time.

 

Good Friday morning all. Currently -4°C and overcast. It is rather dark outside this morning!
Brought home a few samples of carpet to see which color I like and I've noticed that they all look completely different depending on the lighting! This is a hard decision!
So now I'm thinking that if I want new carpet I should probably paint the room first. And get new window coverings. What have I started?!!!

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. It is such a nice day, that I walked extra far with the dog this morning! 6,550 steps so far this morning, and I haven't even had my coffee yet! That's a good start on my minimum of 10,000 steps each day
Laundry and cleaning this morning, and then hopefully back outside to enjoy the warmish day.

It's been cloudy and somewhat foggy here today. No rain yet but it is predicted with maybe some snow or sleet added depending on the temperature. It's been upper 30's today but will go down into 20's tonight. Tomorrow and Tuesday snow mixed with wintery conditions whatever that means. The weather person wasn't sure which direction the storms were going to go. There were two major storms moving from the south to the midwest or northeast. It's till winter so stay warm and inside if you can. dooley

 

Good Monday morning all. Currently 1°C and raining. No school busses running today due to the freezing rain expected this afternoon, and my daughter couldn't be happier!
I've got to start packing up the living room in preparation for my new carpet next week. I have decided that I want to paint the walls and re-do the windows before the carpet is put in. That means I have to move 2 bookshelves as well as my desk so that's going to take some packing. Since my daughter is home from school today, she can help

 

It's raining here with snow about an hour north of us. It will rain all day and into tomorrow. It's still in upper 30's so it won't be warm out. There are icy spots on the complex drive so we won't be going out today. I'm going to go do some sewing. dooley

 

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. It rained all day yesterday, and into the night, before the temperature dropped and everything turned into ice.
Ice day today - no school buses day 2. My morning dog walk was treacherous, but I didn't fall!
More living room cleanout today. Around my desk took much longer than I thought it would, but its done. Today, the other bookshelf. And I need to pick a paint color.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -13°C and cloudy.
Yesterday, I got the living room border removed from the top of the entire room and all the glue removed. Hubby removed the baseboard trim and so after he does a bit of 'body work' I will be able to paint. I haven't decided on a color yet, but I have narrowed it down. New carpet is scheduled to be installed on Monday!
I can't wait to have a 'new' living room

Off to do my errands and shopping, and pick up some paint. Should be able to start painting this afternoon!

Good Friday morning all. Currently -13°C and sunny.
Picked up the paint yesterday, but didn't start painting yet. Hubby decided to do some repairs to the walls and floor so he was in my way lol
I guess painting will be a weekend job!

Good evening folks. It was a jolly chilly and murky start to the day here in Essex. Had a fun foggy doggy walk with lots of different dogs then just pottered the day away doing odd jobs and chores. Spicy chicken for dinner will warm me up.

 

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 4°C and overcast.
Was up bright and early today, and we hit the rink by 7:45 am. Now we are home and it's laundry day, as well as painting day!
