Good luck Netty on your decluttering process. My husband & I continue to tackle our bathroom rehab project. Maybe I'll take some photos of where it stands now.

Between you and me & the wall, give me a shovel, a rake, a pickaxe even. Figuring out wiring, getting walls perfectly square before tiling is not my forte! Aichht!! Sigh. I'll have to make like one of the 7 Dwarfs & learn to whistle while I work.

Thanks Cayuga, I burned 2 boxes of old papers so that's a good start.
Good Monday morning all. Currently -17°C and clouding over. We did have a beautiful, red sunrise before the clouds took over.
The cleanup continues today. Waiting for Hubby to finally nail on the baseboard trim he made, and then we can move the bookshelves back in. Once the books are back on the shelf it should be much easier to get to the rest of the clean up.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! It's minus zero here this morning with wind chills minus 17. I think it will be another day where the temps won't get above 9 or 10F. We don't have plans to go out until after lunch. If it hasn't made it above zero we probably will stay inside. The sun is shining so maybe we won't get more snow on top of what we do have. They did come through and plow this morning so maybe the roads will be clear if we decide to go out. Maybe some sewing in a bit. dooley

Good morning all. Chilly here, right at the freezing mark, going into the 50s later this afternoon and that is pretty much what the weather will be for the coming week. Chilly-warmish-very dry. Pretty much the whole of north Texas is under a burn ban because of the lack of rain.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -11°C and overcast. I just heard the weatherman say we would be getting a snow storm tomorrow and so I will have to do my banking today.
I don't like to leave the house in the middle of a blizzard if I don't have to and so I will also re-schedule my daughters dentist appointment for tomorrow.
More de-cluttering today. For the amount of time it takes you would think I was getting rid of mountains, but so far only 2 boxes and a bag of clothing. Baby steps lol
Have a great day all :)

    Good morning everyine.
Good for you about the decluttering Netty. Most people wait until they are downsizing houses.
23 degrees F here this AM. We are due to get a storm tomorrow too.
BTW the frozen pond on my way to work is beautiful.

Good morning all. We have been decluttering too. We took two boxes and 5 bags of 'stuff' to a local thrift store run by a church group. Now to start on the next room  I am thinking about working on the kitchen cabinets next, so many appliances and dishes I have collected over the 30 years we have been here and some haven't been used in the last 20 of those years. I thought about sorting through my closet to remove old clothes but old clothes are all I have so I guess that's not gonna happen. I hate shopping for clothes.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -14°C and snowing. No bus cancellations here today, much to my daughters dismay, but the next region over has them. She was very miserable this morning, but I'm sure her mood will be good when she gets home because it is skating night! All she ever wants to do is SKATE!
I'm still working on the living room ... Hubby finally put the baseboard on last night and so I can put the bookshelves back today. Doing that should unclutter the dining room so I'm hitting 2 birds with one stone (where did that silly expression come from anyway?)
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -14°C and overcast. We had quite a bit of snow fall yesterday, and so everything looks fresh and crisp.
I'm off to do my errands and shopping. Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently -9°C and overcast. More snow in the forecast for later today.
We are off to the dentist this morning, and then out for some shopping. Hopefully we are home before the snow starts.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Going into the 70s today but a winter blast is expected tomorrow with a possibility of some wintry mix. Not really likely but they like to add that to a winter forecast so it sounds good to us who are tired of not having any winter the last few years just to get our hopes up that Mother Nature doesn't really dislike us as much as it seems.

We had just a dusting of snow last night and it got up to about 20 degrees today. It was sunny and didn't feel to bad when we were out this morning. There isn't supposed to be any snow for a few days and it's supposed to be 38 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday. 38 is warm for us this time of the year. dooley

    Good Morning All,

Well the flu has found our house. BAH !
No matter, for the Olympics are going on and it can be so exciting for me. I am most interested in all forms of skating, but I also like curling, ice hockey and a couple more.

Canada has been doing well and what I really am happy about is that finally Norway has a podium place after many years absence. Norway has such a rich skating history/tradition.

Watching the Olympics is just the thing when sicking-out.

So sorry you are sick Sjoerd! But yes at least you have the Olympics to watch.

My husband & I are heading south on our annual trek to visit my brother in Florida. We are driving this year so we can stop along the way, seeing friends & family. We arrived in Virginia yesterday, outside Washington DC. Weather here is warmish...40's & 50's & rain rain rain. Today we will head to Huntsville Alabama to see college friends.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -7°c and snowing, but switching to freezing rain. I just had a nice long walk with the dog to start my Sunday, and now I am sipping a hot cup of coffee and watching the Olympic womans hockey game between Canada and Russia. I love the winter Olympics!
I was at a skating competition with my daughter all day yesterday, and she came home with a third place in her freeskate and her group also got a bronze for their showcase. It was a fun day but a very long day. Today we are doing housework and watching the Olympics. We might also bake a little.
Have a great day all :)
