Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 7°C and raining. I can see the grass greening up from the window!
It's such a gross day that I'm going to go and do my errands and shopping a day early.
Have a great day all :)

Stopping by and saying hi. Sorry I haven't been on as much as I used to. Life sometimes gets in the way. LOL But I am always thinking of you all when I have my coffee in my garden stew mug.

Hi Clay...life can be fun and sometimes just a pain in the you know what for a while. Stop by anytime you have a few minutes, let us know how you are doing.

Good morning all. Supposed to be rain in the north Texas area today but very little will be dropping onto my gardens, they say may a whopping .10 of an inch. But at least it is overcast and cool for now, perfect gardening weather considering what is in store for us starting next month....summer arrives in all it's burning glory. I hate summer if you haven't noticed. Trash pickup day, man those trucks are noisy. Also saw the water meter reader ambling down the street earlier.
I have a multicolored afghan to work on that I am knitting for our neighbors mom, about 1/4th completed. She has started dialysis recently.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 2°C and overcast, but starting to clear. It rained all day yesterday and all night and so everything is soaked. It's way too wet to be working out there yet, but that's Ok. I'm going over to spend some time with my daughter and grandson today :)
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 4°C and sunny.
Hoping to get the yard cleanup done today, and then move on to veggie garden prep. My daughter is nagging me to put up her trampoline so I might get to that as well.
Lots to do outside! Rain again tomorrow.
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 0°C and sunny. There a brisk breeze too, from the north making if feel much colder.
I put a pail over my emerging Frittilaria Imperiallis last night, just in case it got too cold, which I will remove shortly.
Off today, to a 'meet and greet' for my grandson thrown by my daughters MIL for her 2 new grandsons that are only 36 days apart. Should be an interesting time.
Then home to celebrate my DH's birthday with cake and a Chinese food dinner (his choice)
Back to work tomorrow too, it's gonna be a long week!
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 4°C and cloudy.
Day 2 of back to work today. Feels so good to be back out in the gardens and enjoying the nice weather. Yesterday my Fitbit informed me that I had taken over 32,000 steps, which would explain why I slept so well! I do feel a little tired even after a good nights sleep ... we shall see how many steps I do today.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Since hurting my knee last Sept, it has recovered but I still can not get down on hands and knees to garden as before so I do the bend from the waist stance with rear end in the air. Now I have become one of those little ole lady gardeners you see cartoons about.
But yesterday I got the 1st bed out back (so named because it is the very 1st bed I created when I started gardening way back when) cleaned out and replanted, the stacked, tippy buckets are all replanted and today I am sitting here in pain. I only have between 2 and 5 sections of the backyard to work on and 2 sections of the front yard to finish before summer sets in to do it's best to bake me alive.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 10°C and overcast.
I feel your pain Toni ... I have become rather out of shape over the winter months at home and I am so sore and stiff after 2 days back to work! Today I have a huge day planned so I'm going to be even more sore tomorrow! Wet Ginkgo leaves are my enemy today, millions of them, but I will win!
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 7°C and raining.
It's been a tiring week, and the first thing I thought of when my alarm went off this morning was that I can sleep in tomorrow! SO tired!
It will be an early weekday though, my daughter has her skating test day today. I welcome this break from working lol
Have a great day all :)

We had rain, rain and more rain during the night and the creek behind our apartment complex came right up to the edge of the wooded area. We saw ducks swimming in it. dr threw out some peanuts in the shell for the squirrels and there were the ducks, squirrels and birds all trying to carry them away and chasing each other around. We got around three inches of rain and everything was wet and soggy. But the sun came out about 10 am and it got into the 70's and the water has receded away from our place but you can still see it and I think it will take a day or two to get back down where it belongs. Time to go make supper. dooley

Dooley, we had rain also overnight, and again throughout the day--off and on. We have about 3/4" total, and every drop appreciated. Not the amount you've had, but we take what we get!
It's been overcast all day, so no outside work except to nip out and cut a rose bouquet for the dining room.
Tomorrow is to be sunny and dry, so I may get the last of the pruning done and weed a bit in the gardens.

It was sunny this afternoon but the weatherman said don't plan for the weekend if it includes being outside because it will rain starting Friday night and going into the morning on Saturday. I guess Saturday afternoon will be nice like today and then it will rain Saturday night into Sunday and then be cloudy on Sunday. Sturgeon fishing started today and people were lined up on river banks to watch and/or catch some of them. They are thick and on the news they were showing people just reaching down and picking them up. dooley

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 7°C and sunny.
What a wild night we had!! The winds were blowing wildly all evening and most of the night, with gusts as strong as 120km/hour. Trees were coming down all over and there were many power outages. We were one of the lucky ones that kept power, but news of all the damage the winds did is all over the news this morning. Today is looking much better already, and the winds are gone and the sun is shining. I hope to get outside to the garden, but first I have a huge pot of chick peas that needs canning, and piles of laundry.
Have a great day all :)
