Oh the weather. 12" of snow is now melting the gutters are full of ice and the water is flowing over the gutters instead of through them. and it is raining. not that I like the snow but this is going to be a ripsnortin' mess. an inch of rain on top of the 12" snow out there.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -3°C and overcast. All that lovely snow was rained upon last night when the temperatures rose, and then froze this morning when the temperature dropped. It is an icy mess out there, and it resulted in school bus cancellations. My daughter is happy she gets another day to study for her English exam.
I have walked the dog and have deemed it safe for me to venture out to do my errands and shopping. I am such a woman of routine
Have a great day all :)

school buses are once again stuck on the streets of Akron. they really need to do a better job of cleaning the side streets.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -8°C and sunny. I see a dark snow cloud off in the distance.
I'm off to the big city today. Hopefully won't be too long, and then home again to finish the laundry.
I sure lead an exciting life!
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -10°C and sunny. I was just out on my dog walk, and while it was cold out, I could really feel the warmth of the sun on my face. I stood with my face to the sun for a minute and soaked it in. Then I noticed that some jerk dumped a truckfull of garbage in the ditch and it ruined my moment. Gosh, why do people have to do that?? It happens about once a month on my rural road and it really irks me. The garbage transfer station is less than 2 miles away! I'll send an email to the town and they will come haul it away. I sure hope the person left some personal info there and gets caught and a big fine.

No school today for my daughter as she has finished all her exams, so we will be hanging out at home until her skating classes later.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! It's not really a good morning here. Temps are below zero and it's snowing really hard with big flakes. Will see up to 14 inches when it ends tonight. It's a bit windy so drifts are building up. The bushes outside the window are covered with many inches of snow. It will get up to about 6 degrees this afternoon before going back down. Wednesday and Thursday the high temps with be about 50 degrees below zero. Then Friday and Saturday it will warm up to 36 degrees above zero. We are not going out anywhere this week and the schools are closed until further notice or when the snow stops and the streets are cleared. Guess I will get some sewing done. We still have electric. Our lines are encased in pipes underground. dooley

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -5°C and windy. We had snow yesterday, and while the worst of it was south of us, the town seemed to shut down. Skating was cancelled last night (horrors!) and school busses cancelled this morning. I just walked the dog and can't for the life of me figure out what the big deal is as there is only a few centimeters of snow. I think people are getting 'soft'. Taking my daughter to the rink this morning and she has a lesson this evening with her dance coach. Not sure what we'll be doing between that.
Have a great day all :)

The temperatures here today were low, a minus two degrees F. It was windy too and blowing snow every where. We got about 10 inches yesterday. They did get things plowed very fast and the roads weren't too bad. We had to go out to a doctor's appointment. It was just for a blood test so no worries. It turned out well. We did stop for lunch since we passed the restaurant coming home. We also stopped at a grocery store since the wind chills will make the temperatures feel like it's in the minus 30's to the minus 50's until Friday. Then, it will go up and on Saturday and Sunday it will be in the upper 30's. Isn't that strange. It was an arctic blast which will be leaving on Thursday night or Friday. I will be doing some sewing because we will be staying inside until the weekend. dooley

Good Friday morning all. Currently -27°C and overcast. The frigid temperatures are finally supposed to break today, with temperatures going all the way up to -12°C today, and then continuing to warm while we sleep tonight. It has not been fun, and my furnace sure has been working hard!
Off to do my errands and shopping today.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Soooooo I probably should not say anything about the 60-70 deg temps we will be having for the next several days, one day almost 80 before another front moves through. And almost no chance of rain in that forecast, it's been a pretty dry start to 2019,
